Great tips from your radio show. My CVS issues rain checks on out of stock items and manually prints the ecb. A recent change in the system rounds the ecb to the nearest dollar, recently that gave me $1.50 extra to spend! Taking a rain check also allows me to shop at the end of the week and sometimes the next weeks paper has a coupon I can use when redeeming the rain check.
