Welcome, my fellow CVS fanatics and newbies! It’s Sunday, time for our weekly CVS $5 Challenge. The place to go for simple CVS scenarios with step-by-step instructions.

This is a great week to start CVSing! Be sure to hit the huge 2 day sale, Sunday & Monday only.

Thank you to all the participants last week, newbies and veterans! I love seeing what everyone comes up with each week.

Don’t forget you can now grab a clickable CVS $5 Challenge Button for your post or blog.

If you are a first time visitor, here’s the lowdown:

Join me on Sundays as I host The $5.00 CVS Challenge!

Seasoned CVSers: share your best scenario(s) for the upcoming week at CVS.

Your budget: $5.00 out-of-pocket cash.

Your mission: to grow that $5.00 into even more ECBs to use in upcoming weeks.

*RULES* Bloggers: Please make sure at least one scenario is $5 OOP or less

1. Come up with your best scenario/scenarios for the upcoming week at CVS using the current weekly ad, monthly deals, and coupons available. Your budget for Out of Pocket (OOP) expenses on the first transaction is only $5.00 (either cash OOP or ECBs on hand).

2. Using up to (3) scenarios (we don’t want to overwhelm the newbies with too many transactions), offer up your best scenarios to “grow” that $5.00 into more ECBs to use in following weeks.

3. If you want to divide your $5.00 allowance over the three scenarios to make them work, that’s fine!

4. Be sure to list coupons by inserts and/or with links to printables to make it easier for everyone to follow along.

  1. Anonymous says

    transaction one
    clearasil face wash 3.99
-$2 off any clearasil product coupon
    =1.99 get back 3.99 ECB

    transaction 2
2 neutrogena 1 oz suncare products(SPF 55 sheer is the highest suggested one that works for this) @ 1.99 each = 3.98 – 3.99 ECB adjusted = tax OOP get back $10 ECBs

    transaction 3
    bandaid 2.99
    bandaid 2.99
    speedstick pro 3.99
    revlon nail polish 2.99
    -2 x $1 off bandaids products
    -$1 off revlon products
    =9.96 – 10 ECB adjusted
    =tax OOP
    get back 9.99 in ECBs(4,3.99,2)

i suggest a 4th transaction to finish this up the best way.

    transaction 4
    playtex 3.99
    speedstick pro 3.99
    colgate total 2.99
    -$1 off playtex
    -$1 off colgate total
    =8.97 – 7.99 in ECBs from transaction 3
    =.97 plus tax
    get back 8.99 in ECB(3,3.99,2)

total OOP 2.96 plus tax end with 10.99 in ECBs
