Welcome, my fellow Walgreens fans! It’s Sunday, time for our weekly Walgreens $5 Challenge.  The place to come for simple scenarios with step-by-step instructions.

I had a hard time keeping it under $5.00 this week. Hopefully you can prove me wrong! Grab your weekly Walgreens ad, a printer and some scissors to get started.

Buy 1 Colgate 360 Toothbrush or 2-in-1 Total Toothpaste @ $2.99
$1.00/1 Colgate (12/6 SS insert) or printable here

Total After Coupons= $2.00

RRs Earned= $1.00

Transaction #2
Buy 1 Gillette Fusion Razor @ $8.99
Buy 1 W Aluminum Foil @ $0.50 w/in-ad coupon (filler)
$4.00 Gillette Razor (11/29 P&G insert)
Pay with $1.00 RR from above

Total After Coupons & RR= $4.49

RRs Earned= $3.00

Grand Total OOP= $6.49

Total Value= $12.48 with $3.00 in Register Rewards remaining!

Keep rolling those RR’s for more savings!

    On Transaction #2, you say to pay with the $1.00 RR from Trans #1, but you earned $3, so your OOP i s$2.49, with the Grand Total OOP at $4.49 total (not $6.49).

    Thanks for the $5 Challenge! What a fantastic idea!

      Whoops! Thanks for pointing that out, Rachel. I actually made a mistake, it should have said $1.00 on transaction #1. So my math was right for #2, just had the RR wrong. Sorry for the confusion and thanks so much for commenting!
