Give More: Hope for Haiti

My heart is heavy with sorrow for the people of Haiti.

What can you do to bring help bring hope to those who are suffering?

One blogger asked that question, and took action. You too can help, along with countless others in the blogosphere who are using the power of social media to make a difference.

Spread the word about Hope for Haiti– a project by Jenny of Simply Delightful Designs. Various companies and bloggers have rallied and are donating prizes (amazing prizes!) which are then being raffled off to raise funds for disaster relief.

All funds received will be donated to The Red Cross and Compassion.org. You can make a secure donation of any amount via PayPal, and get a chance to win some really cool stuff at the same time!

The media reminds us that the best way to help the Haiti earthquake victims is through monetary donations. But we can also pray. Pray for comfort. Pray for hope. Pray for safety.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. 2 Corinthians 1:3-5

You couldn’t of said it any better. We as christians need to be praying for them thoughout our day! As Christians we have place in the world to help those in need.

I was really touched by the lady on NBC Today show (that was shown yesterday). She runs an orphanage over there called “God’s Littlest Angels”. I was moved by her story and started to research online about God’s Littlest Angels so I could help, after about an hour looking I learned the non-profit was based about 30 minutes from my house. How amazing is that? God is GOOD!

    Be blessed today! Andrea

    Hi Alyssa,

I saw that you are also going to Blissdom too, so I decided to check out your site. I LOVE IT! What an awesome mission! You have a new follower.

Great idea about charity for Haiti. I texted the Red Cross last night and was able to secure a donation in minutes. It’s terrific that modern technology can be used for such good causes.

I look forward to meeting you at Blissdom!

I have a friend who is on a missions trip at the orphanage that was mentioned and they are in need of prayer. They really need God to move in ways only He can.
