Happy Saturday! I thought it would be fun to share what’s going on in our family each week, so keep reading to see what caught my eye this week, and what we’ve been up to!

What I’m Reading

I have finished a few of the books on my list: Leigh Bortin’s The Core, Simplify Your Homeschool Day: Shorten Your Day, Sweeten Your Time (downloaded when it was free), and Pinterest Savvy: How I Got 1 Million+ Followers (Strategies, Plans, and Tips to Grow Your Business with Pinterest) (also downloaded when free), and Dorothy Sayer’s The Lost Tools of Learning (this is not a book, but rather an essay).

Right now, I am reading Charlotte Mason’s Original Homeschooling Series (oh wow, is this deep!), and rereading The Well-Trained Mind. Yes, I’m a classical homeschooler, and I am gearing up for a Practicum next week and the beginning of our CC year in August 🙂

Our Week

Last week, we headed down to New Braunfels, Texas, with Shane’s family for vacation. This week was spent trying to get back into a routine. I’m going to be honest and tell you that I still have laundry from vacation (but it IS sorted!), and a few bags still waiting to be unpacked. I didn’t get much accomplished.

I did, however, make it to the grocery store and tried out the Ibotta app for the first time. I know, I know. I should have been using it a long time ago, but I’m usually late to catch on to new things. I was pleasantly surprised (my expectations were not very high!), and I will share more about my shopping trip with the Ibotta app next week 🙂 I will say this much: if you are not using Ibotta, you are missing out!

Another thing I’ve managed to do this week is to strip all of my cloth diapers. That is a process that takes a bit of time, so I’m glad it is over!

We also had one lose a tooth, and we may have had a (small) breakthrough on baby’s eating. Maybe. 😉

Coming Up

I have several great things to share with you, including a homemade Febreze spray (I mentioned this a few weeks ago. I promise it’s coming!), more great baby items I’m loving, and our homeschool plans for this fall.

Have a great weekend!
