It is Day 8 of my series, 31 Days of Young Living Essential Oils, and if this is your first time visiting, you can catch up on the the other days here. Tonight I am combining this series with my How We Homeschool series, because we love using oils in our classroom.

One of my favorite homeschool resources is not a curriculum, book, or DVD. It happens to be an oil.

Peace & Calming is one of my most-diffused oils because of it’s calming and peaceful qualities.* I feel that it helps my girls focus on what they need to be working on. Plus, it smells really great, and they are always excited when I pull out my P&C. :D

Peace-and-Calming

On days when we have been go-go-go, I will mix a little P&C with some coconut oil and massage it on the bottoms of their feet. While it doesn’t need to be diluted, mixing it with a carrier oil makes it go a little farther, and gives it more of a “massage” feeling. What can I say? My girls like to be pampered! P&C isn’t some “magic sleeping potion,” but it has been very effective in helping the girls settle down for a good night’s rest. It also helps Momma in the rest department, as well.

Peace & Calming is a blend of Tangerine, Ylang Ylang, Blue Tansy, Orange, and Patchouli essential oils. It is a fantastic option for anyone who has minor anxiety, as it can promote a deep sense of peace.* I wish they made it in a roll-on, because there are some days I can’t get it on fast enough. Ha! In fact, a few weeks ago, I filled in for one of our CC tutors. I was extremely nervous, and I may or may not have bathed myself in P&C both the day before and the day of class. Ha!

In addition to struggling with nervous tension, I am also an introvert who isn’t a fan of being around a lot of people. I always make sure to have my P&C on hand for those times just in case I get a little overwhelmed.

Peace & Calming can be helpful in many situations, whether it is calming stressed nerves, or when you simply need a little bit of comfort. It helps give my occasional anxiety a nice kick in the pants, while making me smell nice. {wink}

Before using Young Living Essential Oils, I highly recommend you find someone local (or you are welcome to contact me!) for more education on using these wonderful, powerful oils. I have a monthly class (sometimes, bi-monthly), where we go over the proper usage of these amazing products. Knowledge is power, right?
