10 Uses for Orange Essential Oil {31 Days of Young Living Essential Oils}

Citrus fragrances are believed to support immunity, induce relaxation, and reduce occasional feelings of depression*. I know I {big puffy heart} my Orange essential oil!

The rich aroma of Orange calms and relaxes the body and uplifts the mind. This oil may also support normal cellular function.* Orange is a fantastic oil for diffusing to help maintain a positive home.

Uses-for-Orange-Essential-Oil

10 uses for Orange Essential Oil*:

  1. Dilute with coconut or olive oil to help cleanse a cut or scratch.
  2. Place a drop in your palm, cup your hands to your nose, and inhale slowly several times for a mood-booster.
  3. Diffuse throughout your home for a fresh-and-clean smell.
  4. Use in place of Lemon in your favorite homemade cleaner to sanitize kitchen counters, bathrooms, and more!
  5. Add 4 drops of Orange to 8 oz. of water and spray areas where fungi and mildew may grow. {source}
  6. Apply topically to fever blisters or mouth sores.
  7. Mix with coconut oil and rub topically on the throat for a sore throat. (Lemon also works for this, just be careful to apply it when you won’t be in the sunlight for long periods of time!)
  8. May be useful for dull or oily complexions, the appearance of wrinkles, and blemishes.
  9. Since it can be calming for some, try diffusing it in the evenings to help wind down.
  10. Apply a drop to remove sticky residue or gummy labels from jars.

A few facts about Orange:

  •  Orange oil is found in several popular Young Living products, including Abundance, Christmas Spirit, Peace & Calming, NingXia Red, and Slique Bars.
  • The orange is believed to have originated in China and later became the fruit of the wealthy in Europe before being introduced to America. {source}

  • Orange essential oil is cold pressed from the orange rind.

Note: Avoid direct sunlight or UV rays for up to 12 hours after applying orange, as it may be photosensitive.
