Fun Facts About My Family and Our Journey

:: My husband and I were married on July 20, 2002.

:: Our daughter A was born May 14, 2004.

:: One week later, my husband became the (interim) Youth Pastor at our church. Neither of us knew what we were doing.

:: July 2004: Our first Falls Creek (church camp)… it’s still a blur, and I have no idea about anything that happened that week, other than we all survived.

:: October 2004: My husband was promoted to the part-time position.

:: January 2005: My husband began Seminary.

:: February 2005: We moved from our small, 3-bedroom home, to the tiny (rent-free!) church apartment that consisted of 1 bedroom, 1 small bathroom, and a living room-kitchen combo. A had the bedroom, and our bed lived in the living room. Yes, I’m serious.

:: October 2005: My husband was promoted to the full-time position (woot, woot!) with full benefits.  We also moved out of the church apartment, and into the church parsonage (again, rent-free!).

:: March 19, 2006, our daughter R was born.

:: September 2006: We welcomed a new member of our family, a teenage girl from a local children’s home. She did not live with us full-time, but stayed with us on several occasions throughout the year.

:: May 2008: My husband finished his Seminary courses (thank you, Jesus!).

:: Our third daughter, M, was born naturally and without drugs on September 3, 2008.

:: December 2008: My husband graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with his Master’s Degree in Christian Education.
