Marriage & Ministry
Ministry and marriage are two areas that have really been on my heart lately. I am a very outspoken, opinionated woman who is slowly learning to allow her husband to take the lead in our home, spiritual life, and marriage.
Some of these posts will be of my successes in this area, and others will be about how I struggle.
I believe ministry and marriage go hand-in-hand, and that you do not have to be a pastor (or a pastor’s wife!) to minister to others. I also believe family ministry, and families ministering and serving together are very, very important.
I believe that a marriage takes three, with God as the center and head. The husband takes his lead from God, and the wife follows suit. One is not slave to the other, but equal in person, with differing roles.
I encourage you to join me as I strive to honor and submit to my husband. I feel it is especially important for those of us who are parents, as our children are watching our marriage and learning from what they see… both good and bad.
Within the ministry aspect, I hope to cover a range of topics that include my struggles and successes within the online mission field and the ministry I find myself in as the wife of a pastor. As of late, new doors have been opened for me to minister in new ways, and to branch out on my own. I hope to reach other wives in similar situations, as no one truly knows the struggles of being a pastor’s wife as another pastor’s wife does! That being said, everyone is welcome here, and you can feel free to chime in at anytime.
