School is right around the corner for many, but there are still a few days of summer left to enjoy! Our family has been on the road a lot this summer, and Crayola was there to help stave off some of the boredom that comes with long car trips.

I was thrilled when the Crayola Summer Fun Gift Pack arrived just a few days before we left on our annual vacation to New Braunfels. This is typically a 5-6 hour trip that can feel even longer with the, are-we-there-yets.

As Crayola helps keep your kids occupied in the backseat this summer, you can enjoy the ride because Crayola Color Wonder products are made to let kids express themselves without making a mess.

:: With over 10 feet of coloring, the compact Color Wonder On the Go Tiny Tube lets kids tear off a perforated activity page for magical coloring fun at home or on the road. The tube fits in the cup holder of a car and can store the included markers inside, making it a perfect on-the-go activity. Adhesive-backing allows paper to stay in place while coloring so kids can easily create anything imaginable.

:: Bring your friends on the road with the Disney and Barbie Crayola Color Wonder Mini Coloring Pad and Markers. With more pages than ever, kids will enjoy coloring a variety of pictures featuring some of their favorite characters. These fun coloring pads are also available in mini sizes that are perfect for tucking into a bag and bring them with you wherever you go.

:: Get back to basics and allow kids to draw what they see outside their car window or daydream and draw whatever they imagine with the Color Wonder Coloring Pad. Kids will be entertained in the back seat with 5 sheets of Color Wonder paper and 2 Color Wonder Markers that only leave a mark on special Color Wonder paper.

Create, erase, and create again with Crayola Dry Erase products that allow kids to unleash their inner artist over and over without carrying around hundreds of sheets of paper.

:: You’ll be all packed up and ready to go with the Crayola Dry Erase Travel Pack that features a dry erase surface, along with dry erase crayons, an eraser and a sharpener to help sustain hours of fun. Take out the game and activity templates and let kids challenge each other to different games using vibrant, washable markers.

:: Everyone can get in the game with the Crayola Dry Erase Zany Play that comes with four bullet tip dry erase markers and boards that your family can use to play games like tic-tac-toe, the dot game and mazes.

All of my girls enjoyed the goodies, but Reese especially had a good time with them. She is my little artist, and created quite a few masterpieces on both the trip there and back.

We LOVE the Crayola Color Wonder products! Avery can draw without me worrying about the mess. She’s learning how to draw and write. Letting her be creative without obsessing over where she colors is so important.

I’m excited to try the Tiny Tubes. I like the idea of tucking something away in a car cup holder or compartment and pulling it out anytime we’re stuck in the car. I love letting my girls go zany with artwork in their free time. So much of their little school aged lives is about following this rule and that. I try never to give them any rules when it comes to coloring or artwork.

We love the color Color Wonder books! It helps me with the clean-up & let’s them practice their drawing, while they have fun! I can’t wait to see them try the dry-erase playing board.

  4. Jessica says

I love the Crayola wonder because my kids can color but not on my walls, furniture, library books, etc! My 2yo and 5yo love to color.

i like the idea of both the dry erase zany play and the dry erase travel pack. i like the idea of my son being able to easily draw in the car without all the paper. currently he has one of those magnetic pen things, kind of like an etch-a-sktch (but with a pen) and he uses that all the time in the car, but the one we have is too small for him to really draw a lot of stuff. it looks like the one in the picture above is a lot larger for him to draw on! also, the dry erase zany play: he LOVES playing the dot game and tic tac toe, so this would be perfect for him and i to play (and perhaps pass back and forth while i’m the front-seat passenger?) when he’s wanting to interact more with mama.

hmmm…i posted a comment right before my ‘email subscriber’ comment, but i don’t see it, so i will try again…?

i like the idea of both of the dry erase kits because it eliminates all the paper all over the place. my son has a little magnetic-pen thing that he draws on all the time in the car, but it’s too small for him to really draw a lot, and it looks like the one pictured above is much bigger, nicer. he also LOVES to play the dot game and tic-tac-toe, so that would be a fun addition to our car trips, again without all the paper.

My daughter is looking over my shoulder and she is most excited with the Barbie stuff :) I just love that they are not messy. Perfect for road trips.

I “liked” Crayola on Facebook. I’ve “liked” them in real life for a long time!

  9. Amy Starr says

I would love to try the Color Wonder Dry Erase stuff – my kids have loved their dry erase board they made at Home Depot, and so they’ve gotten the hang of what dry erase stuff is. My daughter would also love the Barbie Color Wonder! Thanks!

  10. says

We love Color Wonder because it occupies the kids, but keeps everything clean. I also would be excited to try the dry erase stuff.

Creativity matters because it works the brain and lets the brain go in so many directions…….the kids can come up with so many things in their imaginations and it is good to get those out on paper and in color. I felt I was never creative but now I know that creativity is all a perspective. I am more creative than others in certain areas of my life. I want my kids to know they can create in color, in writing, in math, in science…..creativity is almost the basis of everything we do. It leads to inventions and products and blogs and books. It is very important!
