We are trucking right along, and have reached Day 23 of my series, 31 Days of Young Living Essential OilsIf this is your first time visiting, you can catch up on the the other days here.

Lime has a wonderfully light and uplifting aromatic scent. In the diffuser, I love to pair it with Peppermint. The aroma is fantastic!

Lime is also fantastic for removing gummy labels. It’s like magic. Seriously. Have you ever spent time scraping and scraping {and scraping some more}, only to not get all of the gunky label off of a jar? I have! I have even been guilty of doing that when I had a bottle of Lime, Lemon, or Orange right there in my house. How silly is that, when only a drop or two of Lime, a little bit of rubbing, and a good rinse will take care of it?

My favorite uses for Lime Essential Oil:

1. Rub a few drops onto a stubborn label or sticker and watch it come off. Magic!

2. Citrus oils are great for removing grease on your stove.

3. Lime can be added to a homemade cleaner for kitchens and bathrooms.

4. Diffuse or inhale it to encourage feelings of positivity.

5. Try adding it to Epsom salts for a relaxing bath.

6. Mix with a carrier oil like coconut or olive and massage onto your nails to strengthen them. This is something I need to try!

Lime is photosensitive, so avoid applying it to areas that will see sunlight within 12-48 hours of application.

Guess what?! This is an older post, and as of 2016, we now have Lime essential oil and Lime Vitality essential oil! What’s the difference, you ask? It’s the same oil with different labels… one label (regular ole Lime) for topical and aromatic use and the other, has a new white label for internal use.

Lime Vitality™ is prized for its ability to bring a unique citrus flavor and delicious zing to any food or beverage. Adding a few drops of Lime Vitality essential oil to your dishes is the perfect way to elevate your cooking.

1. Use Lime essential oil in place of an actual lime or lime juice in recipes, like this seriously amazing cookie recipe.

2. Add to a smoothie or a glass of water for a refreshing burst of flavor.

3. Combine Lime Vitality essential oil with olive oil to use as a marinade for meat and veggies.
