Following on the heels of the awesome Kroger Super Doubles event, the Kroger Mega Savings event is now in full swing!  And not just in TX and LA, but nationwide at the Kroger Co. Family of Stores.

August 16-September 2nd, the Mega Event features many brands and major savings.  Here’s how it works:

Buy 10 participating items in one transaction and use your shopper card at check out to save $5 instantly. New this year, there is NO limit on the number of rewards per transaction!

To name a few of the brands you can purchase: Aquafina, Betty Crocker, Cascadian Farms, Cheerios, Chex Mix, Fiber One, Fritos, Life, Nature Valley, Sobe Life Water, Tropicana, Yoplait and MORE!

The key is to combine coupons with the mega event for the most savings. I recommend shopping early to avoid crowds.  Look for the double yellow tags in the store to find the participating items.

The folks at General Mills and PepsiCo have provided me with a $30 gift card to use at Kroger during the event.   I will update later this week with my savings, and I can’t wait to see how far I can stretch $30!

    I have a son leaving for college in 1 week…and he will want to purchase foods/other for his dorm fridge!

I could have LOTS of fun with $30 at Kroger! :o) I love Kroger because of the three grocery stores nearby that double and triple coupons, they are the only store with reasonable prices! With a lot of other grocery stores, I feel guilty if I end up buying something that isn’t on sale, but at Kroger, if I need it, I can just grab it and go.

    We like Kroger because its the closest store to our house. I admit we tend to do a fair bit of ‘impulse’ shopping there, but its usually for great deals or necessities like foreign chocolates.

    I love Kroger’s for many reasons, but I especially LOVE the coupons they send me that are matched directly to my own buying habits and interests. I also love their produce more than any other grocery store.

    I love the double coupons at Kroger!! Plus, my Kroger is super close, I always see people I know when I’m shopping AND they have a Starbucks kiosk inside! Does it get any better than that?!

    I like to shop at Krogers for many reasons, but mainly because we prefer the Kroger generic brands over Wal-Mart or Meijer. Kroger also donates 5% of whatever I spend on food or gas back to my kids’ youth group at church, which helps pay for camp every year and conventions every other year. Thanks to the Kroger fundraiser alone, my kids “earned” more than half their camp fee for this past summer!

    I love doubling coupons at Kroger. Also, these events are a great way to combine coupons with the sales and end up with GREAT savings! Our Kroger also has great employees. I’m there so often that I’ve gotten to know them.

    I love Kroger because they double coupons up to $0.50 and they never hassle you over using coupons…no matter how many you have. Using coupons at Kroger is simple and easy…that is why I continue shopping at Kroger.

    Kroger is closest to me (saves gas) Great savings if I have coupons.. although I don’t believe my store doubles them. If I go a little further, there is a Wal Mart but I usually spend more there since it is not just a grocery store. My husband now has Kroger’s isles down pat – so that is our store. 🙂

    I love to shop at Kroger! My store always doubles coupons up to a $1, so it is my favorite place to use those $1 coupons. And with the Cellfire and Shortcuts coupons for Kroger, plus the coupons Kroger sends in the mail, there are always ways to save at Kroger. They have so many sales, and one thing that I like is that they often have the same sales 2 weeks or more in a row. That way if you didn’t have a coupon the first week, you might be able to find one by the next week, or if you’re out of town you don’t miss out on the deals! So many good reasons to shop at Kroger!

    I shop at kroger in order to proove to my mom that coupons actually save substantial amounts of money. (by the way im 16 and allready am addicted to couponing) I would also like to say that is a year when i am at college all this great information will come in handy and help me save a lot of money.     I like to shop at Kroger because I save a lot with my Kroger Plus Card and they double Q’s and do not limit the number of identical Q’s. Not only that but you can also save on gas!

    I like to shop at Kroger because of the tremendous savings that I can take advantage of by shopping according to their weekly ads. On top of that, there are always manager specials at my local Kroger. I can always count on savings hundreds of dollars by shopping at Kroger!

    I love shopping in our Kroger (Dillon’s) Store because of the great specials and mark-downs they run and of course the double coupons, but most of all since we live in a tiny town, I LOVE it that we have our very own teeny tiny Dillon’s!! It may be the smallest Dillon’s still running, and I can’t fit my four children down the isles, but it is ours and it is great!
