Ministry

Being the wife of a youth pastor places me in a unique role of ministry; one that many times, I am reluctant to fulfill.

I’m not perfect; I lack many things that one would expect of pastor’s wife (or a Christian).

I get busy, and Jesus gets pushed to the side.

Fortunately, He is always there, even when I am not.

My beliefs are like this:

There is one way to Heaven, and that is through Jesus. {John 14: 5-7}

The way to Jesus:

–> John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that he gave his only [begotten] Son that who[soever] believes in Him, shall not perish, but have eternal [everlasting] life.

–> Romans 5:8 – but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

–> Romans 3:23 – for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…

–> Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. {Also see 2 Corinthians 5:21}

–> Romans 10:9-10 – because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

–> Romans 10:13 – For, “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Living as a Christian isn’t easier than living as a non-Christian. We have our ups and downs, too. We do not get an “easy pass” on life anymore than anyone else does.

The only “free pass” we receive is the one given to us through Christ to live with Him when we die.

A few of the ministries I enjoy pursuing on this blog are:

–> An Unlikely Pastor’s Wife

–> Coffee Break

–> Learning to Forgive

–> Student Ministry

–> The Importance of Prayer

And various other topics! Won’t you join me?
