Dear TARGET…. I miss you!!

Hello, my name is Alyssa, and I am a Target-addict. I have been officially Target-free for 92 days.

I was THAT Target shopper, Starbucks in one hand, cell phone in the other. Gabbing away to my sister in California about all the cute stuff I just had to have.

Yes, Target seems like a frugal choice. But my old receipts tell me otherwise. Without you, Target, my bank account is happy.

*SIGH* But, I miss you, Target! Your shiny floors and wide aisles are so very tempting. And that dollar section, my goodness! What treasures lie in waiting for my cart!

The withdrawals have finally kicked in. It took longer than I expected, since the extra money in my bank account outweighs my desire to shop there.

I made the mistake of visiting your website today, Target. Just for a little peek. That was all it took. I stumbled across these, and it was love at first sight.

My closest friends know how much I miss the ocean. I lived within a few miles of the beach my entire life until I became a “Texafornian“. Now, the closest beach is a half-day drive away. So, I settle for little reminders of the ocean throughout my home.

Your Pewter Starfish Strainer and Stopper Set would look just perfect in my kitchen. So, I am going to keep an eye on it, Target. Sooner or later, it will go on clearance, like everything else in your store. And then I might just splurge!

Until then, I won’t be seeing you, Target. It’s better this way for both of us.

Sincerely Yours,

Alyssa

Target! Love it, too! And because I love it, too, I’m so glad there’s not one within 10 miles of me!!

    😉

LOL. When I lived in California before baby#2, I was a Target regular. I would shop the walls instead of the main aisle because that’s where the good clearance stuff was. I knew which days makeup went on clearance vs toys.

But then child #2 came along and trips were too painful. I hardly shop there at all now because when I do, I manage to talk myself out of buying even the clearance stuff!

Nicole- I used to do the same thing, shop the walls! LOL I Love Target clearance.

Sounds like you became more frugal after #2!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! You asked if I was from CA – yes, I am!

I hear you about Target – seems like I used to stop there every week. I always spent too much – saw too many cute things and found clearance items I didn’t really “need.” I rarely go there now and save a lot of money!

Of course, I have the same problem at my favorite thrift store. I get fabulous deals on clothes for my son (99 cents for name brand school pants – woo-hoo!)but I always find something for the home that’s such a good deal. So I limit my trips there also!

You are doing so wonderfully with your frugalness. I will be back for tips!
