LÄRABARs Review & Giveaway!

This post brought to you by LÄRABAR. All opinions are 100% mine.

I am always on the lookout for healthy grab-and-go snack options. Chocolate can only get me so far. Our family’s recent gluten-free changes have made snacking a bit more challenging. And then I discovered LÄRABARs. I was hooked!

Now I must say that at $1-2 a bar, they are not exactly frugal. So when I was offered an opportunity to enjoy and offer a review of a variety pack of LÄRABARs, I gladly accepted.

I appreciate that they contain only 2-9 ingredients and are all natural with no added sugar in most flavors. With over a dozen varities, it is not easy to choose a favorite, but cherry pie is pretty tasty. The company is committed to producing simple, whole food products. LÄRABAR products are available worldwide at a variety of natural, specialty, and conventional grocers.

Great news for those with food allergies, sensitivities or other restrictions since LÄRABARs are Gluten Free, Dairy Free*, Soy Free*, Non-GMO, Vegan*, and Kosher. That may sound like these bars will taste dry and bland, but let me assure you they are yummy! LÄRABAR was even featured on the March 8, 2011 episode of “The Biggest Loser” by trainer Brett.

*Does not include 3 Chocolate Chip flavors. Chocolate Chip flavors are made with a simple, 4-ingredient chocolate chip that consists of Fair Trade Certified chocolate, sugar, cocoa butter and vanilla. While no dairy is used to make our chocolate chips, they are made on a line which also produces chocolate chips with dairy. Thus, we will not 100% claim them as being Dairy Free, Soy Free or Vegan.

It wasn’t easy, but I managed to save 8 LÄRABARs to ship to one lucky reader as a quick giveaway prize!

I love Larabars! My favorite is Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and my favorite without chocolate is Peanut Butter Cookie (sweet tooth anyone?) Last time I was at Central Market I got a box of 16 bars for under $18 so that was a decent deal. And Kroger or Tom Thumb sometimes have them on sale for $1 apiece. Also, Target has small boxes of them for a little over $1 a bar (in the section by vitamins and stuff).

Oooh, they all sound absolutely delicious!! But if I had to choose just one then I’d say the chocolate chip brownie — I have the biggest sweet tooth! 🙂

I would so love to win these bars as they are something I can actually eat! I have food allergies.
    I really love pecan pie.
I did however, try a coconut cream pie, just yesterday. It was very good.
    God Bless U!

I “like” you on facebook and love getting your posts. I have been wanting to try Larabar since I heard about them on Biggest Loser. I don’t know where to find them here but will go to their website and see if I can find someplace that carries them. Thank you for the reminder.

Am a HUGE fan of Larabar! Apple Pie is our family’s favorite flavor, after our good fortune to have collected several minibars from the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Race Expo, we’ve tried Cashew Cookie, Cherry Pie, Lemon, Choc. Chip Cookie Dough, and Carrot Cake as well (Carrot Cake is another favorite of mine).
LOVE that they are natural fruit and nuts, perfect post workout refueling treat!

  6. Molly says

I “LIKE” Larabar on FB and of course Kingdom First Mom
Also wanted to make note, for those looking to try Larabars, they are available at both Target and Walmart, near the pharmacy in the aisle with the other protein and energy bars.

  7. Jean says

Cherry Pie sounds yummy & Gingersnap is one that I would like to try. Both are comfort foods for me! 🙂

  8. Jayne says

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough sounds amazing. However, I think I would like any of them!!!!

  9. Patricia Ferguson says

I agree that the cherry pie is the best flavor. I was totally surprised at the yumminess (is that a word???) of this bar when I sampled it at Sam’s Club and subsequently bought several there.

  10. Debbie Blackwell says

LOVE Lara Bara! Pecan pie is one of my favs – but it is tough to choose just one! (I have the same problem at Sprouts.)

  11. Christa says

My favorite hands down is the Pecan Pie one! Oh my!
Second the chocolate chip cookie dough!

  12. Kelly Manzano says

Cashew Cookie is my favorite. So many of the bars have almonds and I am sensitive and can’t eat too many.

  13. Sarah says

I have tried the Peanut Butter Cookie YUM! and the Coconut Cream Pie…it was not my fav…

  14. 4zmom says

I have tried the sampler pack…ymmm!! Cashew cookie and pecan pie are super good, though it is hard to really give a favorite!!:)
