Throw a Baby Shower with Pampers: $300 Gift Card Giveaway!

Celebrating the birth of a child is such a privilege. I have fond memories of each one of my baby showers, so thoughtfully planned by family and friends. Looking back, I realize how truly blessed I was to be showered with such love. Now I have an opportunity to bless another expectant mom with a memorable day.

Last month, I teamed up with Pampers to spread the word about their year-long  Little Miracle Mission campaign – a program that delivers acts of kindness to miracles and their families while encouraging parents to support others. Now Pampers is taking their pay-it-forward campaign to a whole new level with the help of Points of Light Institute, by throwing baby showers for 1,000 moms in need across the country in May and June.

Parents everywhere can easily participate in phase 2 of the Miracles Missions programs, and support little miracles across the country, by logging on to Pampers Facebook page (Facebook.com/Pampers). There you can accept the mission to help dads bond with their little ones, just in time for Fathers’ Day. Make a pledge while you are there for a chance to win free diapers and wipes for a year!

Is there an expectant mom in your life who could use a special day or supplies for a little one on the way? I am thrilled to offer one lucky reader a $300 American Express Gift Card from Pampers to throw an amazing Baby Shower for a mom in need. The winner may use it however they see fit, but Pampers hopes to inspire others to “pay it forward”.

I know my frugal readers can go BIG with $300!

Wow! I would love to bless some moms with baby supplies. I do have a sister-in-law due this summer and a friend due this weekend. So I’d probably spread that $300 out among 2 or more moms.

My business partner is expecting her first and I’d love to throw her an owl-themed shower for her little boy.

  3. Erin says

With 5 cousins and a couple friends pregnant I would use the GC to buy diapers to make diaper cakes for them all.

  4. Jodi G says

How wonderful! I have a friend that is a little over half way through her pregnancy, and is having complications, but is working 2 jobs to make ends meet. She could really use this!

  5. says

There are many people I know who are expecting babies. Some first time mommies some mommies with one or more kids. I’d probably though spend the money on showering the Joplin Moms who lost everything in the tornado via their amazon wish-list.

  6. kimberly says

I’d like to throw a baby shower for my coworker, it would be extra special for her and we certainly could use some extra funds for refreshments and diaper cakes and whatnot. She’s due the end of August so this could be perfect timing! (thanks for having this 🙂 )

  7. says

I would use this to throw a baby shower at our church’s pregnancy center. So many of those moms are so needy, this would help them out a ton!

  8. Donna B. says

I have a friend of mine who’s pregnant and a single mom like me, I’d throw her a baby shower. To make it memorable…hmmm well having a baby shower at all would be memorable for her, but I’d get one of those diaper cakes.

I’m not sure of the theme, I’d have to do some recon to find out what her thoughts are on the room design. I know the bedding she registered for has a zoo animal theme so something along those lines, I think.

I know she’d be touched by the gesture and very appreciative of the baby shower and gifts!

  9. Eva Fowler says

Our church has an annual community baby shower in July and this would be an awesome donation for that and I would also like to bless a friend who is due September 1.

  10. Jessie C. says

I’d throw the baby shower party for my sister in law (They’re expecting the first blessing) and get everyone’s hubby and SO to participate. Men are usually excluded in the event, it would be interesting to see how they come up with shower gifts and have fun time chatting and playing games together.

I would definitely use some of it to help my new neighbor who has a young son, b/c we are trying to get to know her and she is going through a rough time. I’d probably donate the rest to a young mom in our church going through divorce. Great giveaway, thanks!

  13. Mami2jcn says

I would have a couples shower for my friend who is due with her 2nd baby. I think a Hawaiian theme would be memorable.

She has an 11 year old 2 year old twins and 1 due in July. She works full time and I just found out she was to embarrassed to have a baby shower since it’s her 4th child. 15. Jamie P says

I would throw a baby shower for a mommy -to- be who is expecting her first baby this fall! We would have a great time with friends and family, play shower games and eat yummy food! I would spend the majority of the money on things she will need for her newborn (diapers, wipes, pack-n-play, etc.)

  20. Deborah says

I would help my sister out by getting her what she needs for her little one due in August. She already got rid of all her baby stuff (she has a 7 and 10 year old), so she is starting over.

  27. Terri P. says

With $300 from Pampers, I’d give my youngest sister a super baby shower! She’s expecting their first baby in Dec. and this gc from Pampers would go toward making her shower this summer a very special one indeed! Thanks!

I would buy all of my party essentionals, including food, games, gifts, and a special gift for the mom.

    I also like facebooked you.

  29. Amanda H says

Oooh, I would buy my friend a ton of diapers! Enough to last her little girlie a few months! 🙂

  30. says

I think a year’s supply of diapers would be an awesome gift to shower someone with! All the other stuff is cute and gets the “ooos” & “awwws”, but diapers are a big need and are expensive unless you are ALWAYS watching for deals on them!

I would use the money to throw my brother’s new wife a shower. This is her first baby. My brother is a diabled veteran and they are living off of his disability checks. His wife works as a lunch aid at the local school but has all summer off. This would truly be a blessing to them and the new addition!

  34. Julie says

Since my sister lives over 1000 miles away, and we can’t afford to go visit her right now, I would love to have the crib she has been longing for shipped to her to use on the baby she is expecting. I know it would mean a lot to her to get that!

  35. Sharon says

I would use it to buy diapers and formula to donate to the local crisis pregnancy center. They do such wonderful work and are always in need of supplies for the young mom’s that they help.

  36. SHARON ARWICK says

I would throw 2 baby showers:
    * A young lady across the street from me, single mom, no money. She was just born again on Good Friday! We tell her to trust God and He will provide…and He has been! God is soo good.
    * My step-daughter and husband are expecting their 3rd boy and my son-in-law lost his job at the restaurant he worked at closed. He’s concerned about providing for his children, and I would love to help lessen his worries, and also remind him that he should trust in God (he’s a new believer) and He will provide.

    Thanks for any consideration given!

  37. virgen says

Well not sure if can participate but the baby shower would be for myself is my first pregnancy and my family lives in a different state with the economic situation nobody is talking of trowing me one but I still would like the opportunity to gather a few friends ad welcome my baby into this world

  42. TheirMommyHisWife says

I’m due with twins this fall which will be #3 and #4 for us!

We are a single income family making it work thanks to awesome bloggers like you teaching us how to save money where we didn’t think it would be possible! We had to relocate 14 + hours away from family and friends last year in order for my husband to stay employed and I could stay home with the kids.

I’d love to use it for grandparents’ travel expenses that otherwise may not get to visit for quite some time due to finances.
    Thanks for the opportunity!

  43. Shanna says

I work in a big school, and we have lots of younger teachers. That means lots of babies! (I think we had 6 or 7 born last year!!) I know of some ladies already being pregnant, and I’m sure more will come out of the woodwork as we get into next school year. We traditionally have a baby shower for the group each semester, so i could use this card to help make it really great for several expecting moms!

  44. Jen says

I would shower both of my pregnant sisters with beautiful diaper cakes, make with Pampers, of course 🙂

  45. se says

I subscribe by email. I have 3 coworkers that are expecting would throw each a baby shower!!!

  46. Valerie Lewis says

If I won the $300 gift card, I’d give it to my local crisis pregnancy center. They are a wonderful group of Christian folks who minister to 160 women per month in various ways. They are always in need of diapers and wipes, so I’d let them buy all they could get with $300!

  47. Jessica says

I would throw a shower for my cousin, who is a hard working stay at home, homeschooling mom of 3 girls with a baby boy on the way! I haven’t seen her since her first was born 7 years ago.

  48. Aubrey Fick says

I would throw a baby shower for my friend with lots of games, diapers and food

  49. Suzette Crouse says

    I am a follower on FB & via email …& I like Pampers …Only only I use!
What I would do with the American Express Pampers Card would be to pay it forward.
Recently, a bible study & Sunday school mom & friend of mine was pregnant with twins. She was devastated when she found out that she miscarried and had been so desperately trying to have another child, she was so excited when she found out that it was going to be twins but then sad when she miscarried.
I know that she is still trying to have another child as she is seeking God in all of this and believes that He will give her another chance.
She and her husband currently have one child, which he has a learning disability and they still always have a smile on their faces even w/ the difficulties they have been through.
I would LOVE to throw her the best ever baby shower when she gets pregnant again as she is already praying and trying to have another. I know that it would mean the world to her and her family!
Thanks for the opportunity to share my friend’s story and a chance to win her an unforgetable baby shower! ~Suzette

  50. Bethany says

I know a few women who are pregnant and deserving of a shower. I think I would buy each of them diapers and wipes and maybe a cute outfit or 2. what mom, either first time or not, can always use diapers!

  51. kathy says

I would find out someone in need from our church or crisis center where I volunteer and then get some helpers to help me throw them a shower!!

  52. Mary E.S. says

My niece is expecting her 2nd baby in October and it was totally unplanned.they are a young couple just starting out with hardly anything so I would take her shopping for what she needs for the new baby and her other little one. They both work at fast food restaurants so they don’t make much money.

  53. Vitalia Gonzalo says

I already am subscribed to your emails (yay), and I’ve “liked” both Pampers and you on facebook. If I won I know what I’d get and for whom. Although I have a cousin-in-law and sister-in-law and 4 friends who are all expecting in the next few months, 1 friend from church comes to mind the most. She is expecting her first child and she is so excited and looking for hand-me-downs for her baby. She’s so appreciative each time I give her something else I’m not using for my 3 month old (and I was so blessed by others who had babies before me) and she humbly asked me if she could have my old car seat when we need to buy a new one in a few months and she has her newborn. My 2 car seats, although in great condition, are hand-me-downs and I’d love to be able to buy her a travel set and other necessities I know she’ll need, like diapers.

  54. Jenna says

I’m in a Mom’s Group of about 20 and have a couple Mom’s pregnant with their 2nd- great shower for them!!!

  55. says

I am expecting and so are several of my friends. All of our husbands are in seminary and none of us have much money right now. I would love to throw a huge shower for all the others that are welcoming new bundles of joy into their lives. I know it would be a huge blessing in their lives.

I would be able to throw my deserving sister a shower she’ll be sure to never forget and this giftcard would help huge since I don’t have any extra $. She has been so good to me. She threw my baby shower a few years ago and has also helped me huge by helping take care of my little guy. She has been trying for a long time for a baby and is finally Prego! It’s only right if I have a shower for her this summer. I would spend the $ on a shower brunch, cake, decorations, and maybe have some left to buy her a bunch of pampers. This would be a dream!

  57. Amanda S says

I’m throwing a baby shower for my friend Jen this fall and I would use this for food, games and prizes, and diapers!

  58. Sara says

    I have subscribed via emal.

I work for an organization that believes that EVERYONE, regardless of their lot in life, deserves a decent place to live. While we provide good, quality apartment living to those families with minimal means we also have a food pantry that can help them out in a pinch. Wouldn’t it be a blessing to these young mothers to also be able to provide to them a baby pantry for emergency needs? And, what a wonderful opportunity to afford our expecting mothers a party in which they can gather together for a couple of hours and be “showered” with care and kindness that a gift like this from Pampers would be able to provide.

  59. katie says

I would use it to shower a young mother who is pregnant with her second child. She lost her first child on Christmas this past year.

  60. jaimee says

I’d use it to host a small surprise shower for a friend who’s due with #2 soon. I’d have a couple friends meet us at a restaurant- just tell her I was treating her to lunch just the 2 of us, but then have the others there, and pick up the tab. Bonus- very little clean up!

  61. Justine says

We attend a small Hispanic church and most of our families are low-income. There are 2 pregnant women, and it would be great to host a shower for them and use the money toward some simple decorations, but mostly much-needed items for them such as diapers, wipes, clothes, etc.

  62. says

WOW..I have a great friend who is young, and pregnant with her 1st child, and could use this badly!! I”d throw her the ultimate baby shower with her closest friends & family!

Thank you so much for the chance to win!!

    ajoebloe(at)gmail(dot)com

  63. Rebecca says

It would be difficult to narrow it down between two different ladies. One of them is a young bride and she and her husband just had their first child born at about 23 weeks along. I know they don’t have a lot of the things they need for the baby when he is allowed to come home (which might still be awhile). I also know of a 16 year old girl that is expecting and is keeping the baby despite a great deal of pressure from family to abort. She doesn’t have any resources, and I’d love to help her get some of the things that she needs to welcome the baby.

  64. Sarah says

Our church secretary, Mel, is pregnant with her fourth and is a savy mom. So throwing her a shower for her 4th would be great. We would meet at her favorite restaurant and present her with diapers aglore 🙂 Because with coupons and great sales, we can make that $300 go a LONG way!

  65. Florida Girl says

A friend of mine just recently found out she is pregnant. This girl is amazing. She is so generous and I would love to see her get some of that generosity returned. She is 24 years old, she graduated with a criminal justice degree and she is in ministry school. She recently organized a fundraiser yard sale and sent the proceeds to Haiti. Last winter, she went to Mexico for a couple of months on a mission trip, helping the children there. Not many 24 year olds would give up their time and leave their friends behind to help those in need… She’s a great role model. She works full-time and thoroughly deserves a break. I’d love to give her the card so she can start her family with fewer financial worries.

  66. Crystal Manuel says

I know a young woman who is pregnant. Her Mother is not very happy about this pregnancy and the young girl would love to be able to keep her little daughter that she is pregnant for. I would suprise her with a beautiful baby shower, and hope that I could share the gospel of the Lord with her. I know that God bless us at times of need and I would love more than anything to use this money to bless this young lady and tell her how much Jesus loves her.

  67. Joanne says

My church has a monthly outreach where we give away clothing and boxes of food to families in need in our area. We recently have had some Mothers of young babies coming to our outreaches. It would be wonderful to be able to make up gift bags of diapers, wipes, and other necessary baby items to give away to these loving moms that have a hard time affording the expensive items that babies require on a regular basis. We could bless many babies and Moms with that $300!

  68. Serena says

I would donate the money to the women’s care center where I live. They provide formula and diapers to moms with little ones in emergency situations. I can’t think of a better way to use the money than to help those who need it most, when they need it most.

  69. YC says

Honestly, my daughter is expecting her first child, this card would totally help me with expenses to have her a baby shower. Having learned how to become frugal in shopping, I’m confident there would be more than enough with that card to also have a baby shower for someone that other wise would not be able to.

  70. April Dudgeon says

Well my cousin Jessica just had a new baby and she’s a single parent with another child too, she’s 8. And I know she has a hard time making it on her own so I would give her the $300 American Express gift card if I won it. She works & has a good job but she’s just over the income limit to get child care help when she goes back to work next month. So I know that would make her so happy and it would make my heart happy to know I’m doing something great for someone else!

  71. says

I have a very dear friend that just found out she is pregnant with #6 – a GIRL this time, after 5 boys. I would absolutely love to use the gift card to purchase all the pink, frilly things that every little girl deserves!

  72. Lisa says

I would use the gift card to buy lots of diapers and baby wipes for a shower present for a relative’s baby shower. I would also use part of it for a cake and a few decorations. altern147 [at] yahoo [dot] com

  73. Janine B says

Ohh I have a close friend who is having a baby in October! I’d love to be able to buy her a bunch of stuff for her baby shower! Thanks for the chance to win!

  74. Monica says

I would buy some yarn and knitting needles for my friend who just had a baby along with a good knitting book so that she can learn how to knit for her little boy.

  75. Erin R says

I would throw a shower for my friend who just had her 6th daughter a few weeks ago. Because it was her 6th, no one threw her a shower, yet she still needs things for that baby, perhaps more so because she has 6 mouths to feed and diaper now…I’d love to throw her a special shower to help her get what she needs for the new little princess.

  76. Tara says

I would use this to buy the last few things I need for my second baby. Anything extra I would donate to a local women’s shelter.

  77. Emily says

I would use some of the gift card to purcahse some necessities for a friend who is having twins, and I would donate the rest of the gift card to my moms group to put towards our benevolence fund.

  78. Mari says

I’d throw a shower for the women I volunteer for at a local charity for unwed and/or addicted mothers and their children. Many of the girls are on public assistance and cannot afford to eat healthy meals. I’d prepare wholesome, fresh, organic appetizers and snacks (I also teach cooking classes on occasion) . I’d have a diaper cake instead of a regular cake, though I would make an assortment of cupcakes in different varieties, for those who have allergies and/or dietary restrictions.

  79. Jessica M says

My sister is expecting my niece/nephew in November. It would be so helpful to have something like this to help with shower expenses…and diapers! 🙂
    Thanks!!

  80. Mary Shaw says

I would give it to a local single mom. I know several that are struggling, and just need to see that there is love and kindness out there!

  81. Melissa says

I would find a way to help out one or several of the families our church helps out. There’s a teen help outreach and a single parent outreach. I’m sure diapers would benefit a lot of these families!!

  82. Kendra says

Well there is ALOT I could do with $300 to throw my sister in law a baby shower. However I think I would use half of it for food, decorations, games, & favors and use the other half on a nice gift. I would have the shower at my house, with a lady bug theme, & decorate with some diaper cupcakes.

  83. Patty C, says

I am expecting my first grandchild in September and would be thrilled to win this card to turn over to the mommy to be so that she could pick out what she wants for the baby! 🙂 Thank you so much for this oppurtunity! <3

  84. Brandy Clegg says

I already like Pampers and KFM on Facebook and I just became and email subscriber. If I won the gift card, I would use it to help my friend pay for my baby shower and any money left over on the card I would definitely stock up on Pampers Swaddlers for my new baby who is due in September!!!

  85. Kang Xiong says

First, this is so awesome what you’re doing. 🙂

While there are over a dozen of friends I know who are expecting babies, I really want to donate it to a care group for young single-moms. As a kinda young single-mom myself (28 😉 ) to and 8 year old, it’s just really encouraging to know someone else has gone through it and made it through to the other end of the tunnel. These little ones in the mamas’ bellies are already so loved! 🙂

  86. brandi says

i would throw my step sister a baby shower. she just found out she is expecting. it would be a big help since she is on a limited income.

  87. Leann says

I’d collect baby item coupons and combine it with the card to purchase baby necessities for our local abused adult resource center. What a great way to help those in need!

  88. Melinda Hackworth says

I would love to WIN so that I can Spend It On MY First Grandchild!!! He or She Is Going To NEED everything!!! Some I Am Saying My Prayer’s!!! Thank You Lord For Pamper’s On FaceBook!!!!!!!

  89. Genevieve says

Just got home from delivering a slew of coupons to a new young friend. She is expecting her second child and her husband just lost his job. They are a precious young family and need some help right now. I burst into tears as I was telling the story to my husband. I feel so helpless. Could you please help me to help them?

  90. Thabal says

My brother and sister-in-law are having a baby this month and it would be of great help to them. Thanks for the giveaway.

  91. Lucinda says

I’d help out a young couple at my church that has the most adorable twin girls!

  92. Stefanie says

We are expecting twin girls this fall, and they will be number 3 & 4 in our family. I would give the $300 gift card to the sweet, sweet friends throwing us a shower…it would truly be a blessing!

  93. Kasey says

There are so many people having babies lately, between friends and coworkers – I’d like to have kind of a combined shower for a few of them, I figure we could all get together and maybe swap out some things we aren’t using, we could have traditional shower gifts/refreshments/games, and I think we could stretch the $300 pretty far, especially if we all combine ideas and resources.

  94. Amanda Besore says

I just found out I am pregnant with baby number 2 so I would use it to stock up on Pampers!

  95. Sam says

Hi Alyssa! I would LOVE the gc , as much as I LOVE your FB & Pampers, lol…would use this to purchase pampers wipes for a ton of uses! I share !

  96. Julie says

My sister in law is expecting ( we find out wed what she’s having) they don’t have much so I would LOVE to be able to buy her diapers for the new little one…one less worry for them. 🙂
