New VeggieTales DVD Giveaway: Princess and the Pop Star

A long, hot summer has meant lots of indoor time for my kiddos. Thankfully, a new VeggieTales movie has been a blessing on quiet afternoons when we are stuck inside.

Princess and the Pop Star features plenty of high-energy, family-friendly music, including the new song, “You Never Are,” written and performed by this year’s Dove Award-winning Artist of the Year, Francesca Battistelli. Other fun content includes an all-new silly song called “Astonishing Wigs!”, behind the music interviews with Francesca, and “Princess Poppyseed’s Points for Being Uniquely You.”

Featuring a lesson in “being yourself”—the DVD helps young girls (and kids of all ages) understand that each of us are created unique and special with God-given talents, based on Jeremiah 1:5, which reads, “Before I formed you in your mother’s body, I chose you.  Before you were born, I set you apart to serve me.”

My girls have memorized the catchy songs and I appreciate that they are mom-friendly, too. 😉

    Love Veggie Tales and the fact that I DO NOT have to worry about some crazy society driven message they are sending to my kids like I do with other shows. Just pure, wholesome Godness!

    Love that they are clean and teach such positive lessons about our relationship with the Lord!!! We can’t wait to share them with our little one. We actually watched them in college and owned most of them…way back in the day.

    I love the real life application and the true biblical stories that come out of these videos. I also love the fact that they are funny and even throw some adult humor in there every once in a while! It’s stuff that kids can easily remember! I LOVE Veggie Tales! We just bought TWO this past weekend that were on sale for $5!! WOOHOO!

    The fun story telling and applying biblical principles is great. We really like that Mommy and daddy don’t dread watching veggie tales one more time. They seem to throw in some good humor for us too. 🙂

    I love the biblical and moral messages Veggie Tales provide. The animation and songs are current and fun for the family. I have a daughter with special needs who is quite particular about cartoons, but she will watch Veggie Tales all day if I let her.

    we love veggie tales because it makes learning stories from the Bible fun and introduces the kids to the Bible characters. Its also way less annoying to me than other kids shows and the songs are pretty catchy!

    We just love the songs and the fun way in which they teach the stories about the bible without “preaching” them. The kids love ’em and so do I!

    Veggie Tales have been our staple for entertainment for the last 10 years with all of our kids. The lessons are just right and the silly stories inspire the older kids to look up the real story. Also, we love love love to sing the songs. We do have a few CDs that we sing along to in the car on occasion :o)

    What’s not to love about Veggie Tales. My oldest is a Senior in high school and she and her friends will still watch a Veggie Tale video when they are feeling silly. I like that it is family friendly and that I as a parent enjoy watching them too.

    I love everything about veggietales! They are awesome!!! I suppose I love the great messages and Bible stories best. I never have to worry what my kids are learning from the tv when veggietales is on!

    The stories are so cute, clever, and funny, and parents can enjoy the videos as much as the kids do. We’ve been fans of Veggie Tales since my middle son, who is now 11, received “Madame Blueberry” for his second birthday. He and our 14-year-old son still enjoy watching the shows with their 3-year-old brother!

    What I love most about VeggieTales is that it has done two wonderful things for my child, she now gets so excited to go through the produce section exclaiming “Look at all the VeggieTales!’ and she has also began singing along with the characters in different episodes. Win win in my book!

    We love Veggie Tales because they are all hilarious and my kids really learn the Biblical messages. We quote the veggies all the time, just all the funny silly things they’ve said over the years, and my kids have also been heard saying things like, “I didn’t give up. I persevered just like Larry.” And “Don’t worry about whether people laugh at you. It’s like Minnesota Cuke.”

    So many things to love about Veggie Tales. One that immediately comes to mind is that it is entertaining for my entire family — the older, the younger, and even us parents. I really appreciate that the messages it teaches my children are fruitful ones and ones that encourage them to love & care for themselves & others. Would be so grateful to add another DVD to our small collection here =)

    I love the moral story that is in each and every movie.

    I also happen to love the songs I am a grandmother and get just as big a kick out of the songs as my grandsons

    I just love that they make the stories fun and applicable to our lives. I have some other bible story videos, but the kids are bored by them.

    My 5 year old son is a huge fan and the veggie tale videos have been such a blessing to our family. My husband even presented a SS lesson recently on Daniel and used the veggie tale videos as a reference. Love them!

    I have always loved the Veggie Tales. It is hard to find cartoons for children anymore with a good message. It is also good for the whole family, from my youngest to myself. We all love it!

    I love, love Veggie Tales and so do my kids. I am so excited to seem them so happy to learn about Gods word. The movies always explain the bible stories in ways kids can understand. They are fun to watch and always have a positive message about our lord. My daughter in 10 she still loves the movies, and has told me that they help her when she is sad, or cant understand why others pick on her, she knows from what she has learned at church, home and from the movies that God wants us to love one another.
