In honor of the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy, Kroger is hosting “Honoring Our Heroes” celebrations for emergency services personnel (Police Officers, Firefighters, EMTs) and active military at select stores in Dallas-Fort Worth to salute their daily heroic acts of service and efforts to protect the community.
Emergency services personnel and active military are invited to join the festivities taking place from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Friday, September 9. Attendees will get to enjoy a free BBQ meal and beverage.
In addition to the cookouts, emergency services personnel and active military will be given a 10% discount on Kroger brand products for the weekend (Friday, 9/9, thru Sunday, 9/11), at all 85+ Kroger stores in Dallas-Fort Worth. To receive the discount, participants must show a valid form of ID or be in uniform.
At 8:46 a.m. on Sunday, September 11, Kroger will host a citywide moment of silence to honor the fallen heroes of the national tragedy.
