One Year – Blogoversary

Incredibly, I have been blogging for one year today.

I would like to say that I have been blogging at this site for a year now, but {sigh}, Amy Loves It! has only been live since April.  But my original site, hosted on Blogspot, started one year ago today, thanks to my friend Rachel, who blogs at her family site, Little Harrelson Family.

My site started out as a way to keep family and friends up-to-date on the happenings here at our home, but slowly evolved into something much more.  I began to talk more about my frugal journey, how I was learning to coupon, my new-found love for CVS, etc, etc.  The first frugal website I found was Keeping the Kingdom First, and I immediately fell in love with it.  I was one of those people who became obsessed with scoured Alyssa’s website for all the great deals and money-saving advice.  I had no idea I would soon be blessed enough to call Alyssa my friend!

Then, I came across Money Saving Mom (thanks again, to Rachel!), and then Deal Seeking Mom.  Through Deal Seeking Mom, I found the BeCentsable website and stumbled onto Surviving the Stores, Couponing 101, and Christi’s 2 Cents.  Again, I had no idea that one day I would be blessed to have Rachel and Stephanie as good friends.

I do not remember how I found Mandi’s DoodlesPlace, but I remember well when she started her other site, Organizing Your Way. It is now one of my very favorite sites!

I have to say, the best thing about blogging has been meeting all of the people and finding my voice.  I have been handed so many opportunities and blessings through blogging, that I would not have found anywhere else.

Brittany is one of my very best friends; not just an internet friend (although we met through Mandi’s site!).  She is one of the sweetest people, and I am so glad we are friends.  No, we have not met, but hopefully, that will change soon!  We do talk on the phone, though, and have so many things in common (one being that we are both blessed with three beautiful girls!).

Brittany “introduced” me to Michael who is the guy I gush about almost as much as I gush about my husband.  He is THE most awesome web host EVAH, and has done SO MUCH for me and my website.  I owe him so much.  (In fact, he has a FAB deal going on right now, and you need to check it out!).

I know you are all wanting to see my first posts… right?!  Just beware, this was my “family” website, in the beginning!  And, yes, I did do 4 posts on the same day!

So, there you have it.  It’s quite funny, because the fifth post came one month later, and it was titled, “Couponing.”  That is when the obsession began!

PS: This is my family website now.  It isn’t updated as regularly as this one is (giggle).
