Walgreens Update

You may have noticed I rarely post Walgreens info anymore. Since I am such a CVS fan myself, I decided to simplify a bit and just stick with what I do best.

If you are in need of help figuring out the Walgreens system, I am happy to send you in the right direction!

First of all, the blogosphere is all abuzz over the new $5/$20 Walgreens coupon.

The basics:

Similar to CVS, Walgreens offers both monthly deals and weekly. They are a bit fussier about their coupon policy than CVS, so be prepared for that. Walgreens will allow you to stack a manufacturer’s coupon with a store coupon.

For lingo and coupon vocabulary, start here.

For further Walgreens shopping explanations, check out Mommy Snack’s Top 5 Tips and Money Saving Mom’s Walgreens 101.

I also posted a while back about the online rebates that Walgreens now offers.

There are great deals to be had at Walgreens, my frugal friends! If CVS sounds intimidating, start with Walgreens. I shopped there for months before I got up the courage to try my hand at CVSing.

I am always willing to answer all of your couponing questions, so feel free to contact me!

Thanks! I need to start doing the Walgreens thang. We don’t have CVS here, so that’s a moo point. (yes I know it’s moot – it’s a joke). 😀

I agree that WG is a little more picky about coupons than CVS. CVS (if you get the right person) will pretty much take anything and not question it. I have been to WG multiple times and had a cashier give me a hassle because “this didn’t match the picture” or something like that… Great fun, but I still love shopping both when I’ve got time…

Lisa- I hope you enjoy shopping at Walgreens! It can be a huge money saver if done right.

fuel4him (aprel)- WOW, that is quite a haul for Walgreens! I am so proud.

Dianne- Let me know how it goes, I am here to help!

Kama- I know what you mean. That is part of the reason I now simply stick with CVS. You are right, it is great fun!
