I goofed! In this week’s CVS $5 Challenge, I included 2 free items in my scenario:
Chex Mix and Excedrin
All of my favorite CVS resources listed these deals, but I neglected to cross-reference my own flier! Turns out these are regional deals only.
If you are in the test-market area with the new sales dates (which I am not very fond of, by the way), most likely these deals will not apply.

Good news if you are a Chex Mix fan and have Walgreens nearby. Chex Mix is free nationwide at Walgreens this week! (Please correct me if I am wrong). My kids love this stuff!
I also recently discovered a fantastic resource for all you “WAGS” fans. From Wags to Riches is a fairly new blog devoted entirely to Walgreens deals. I know some of my readers are not blessed with a local CVS, but hopefully you can make Walgreens work for you!

In other CVS news, I was so happy to read this I just had to share:
Last week- “CVS/pharmacy announced today that it will donate ice and water to local residents at select stores in Baton Rouge on Thursday and in Baton Rouge, Houma and Kenner on Friday. Two bags of ice and two gallons of water per person at each location will be available while supplies last.”
Good for you, CVS! By the way, you may have noticed the Red Cross donation banner at the top of my blog. A tweet from Frugal Wench reminded me of this very important cause.

LOL I went to CVS to Pick up some Excedrine, I didnt see that is was on sale so I scanned it and of coarse it rang $4.99 š That is ok I have plenty of Free Pain Relievers anyway lol!
I just wanted to let you know that I am in one of the test areas (Alabama) and even though the Chex Mix is not advertised in our flyer, it is still ringing up as $1.00. I suggest that those in the test area get a price check before they buy it. š

Hi there. I’m also in DFW and not fond of these sale dates! or the ads! or the fact that my cvs won’t take IP’s anymore (thanks to the facebook coupons)…I’m so glad walgreen’s has been so good to us lately!
