Can you spot me and my bump among all those beautiful moms?

One of the highlights of my recent trip to Bentonville was meeting the one and only Paula Deen.  She attended and spoke at the infamous Saturday morning meeting along with Harrison Ford.

She was such a delight, and spent a few minutes speaking with us, taking photos and signing autographs.  So what was Paula doing in Bentonville?

Well, to quote her:

“Yaaawwwl are mah peeeeple, Walmart!”

Actually, Paula just launched a new line of cookware available at Walmart.  The prices are quite reasonable, actually, if you are wondering.  She also just published her first children’s book.  (I already bought one, my daughter is a huge fan and loves to cook!)

Enjoy more pictures from our trip to Bentonville on Jessica’s blog.

Very cool! I ate at her restaurant in Savannah this past summer and loved it. I hated she wasn’t in town then! I wanted to hear that beautiful accent of hers in person!

This looks like a lot of fun and I’ll definitely check out her cookware!

I would have loved to meet Paula. She is so funny and her recipes are awesome! What a great day for you. I too am interested in getting her kids cookbook.

I doubt shopping at a company like Wal-mart is promoting Christ and Christian values. Companies that exploit people around the world, while having questionable labor practises here don’t cut it.

I’m sure that is true what you say about Wal-mart, however every company has its faults. Wal-marts faults just so happen to be public. If you’re so worried about their labor practices, perhaps you should write a letter to CEO Lee Scott or maybe even to the Walton family.

Great idea. I’ll send a couple of letters out today! Why didn’t anyone think of this before??? LOL
    Thanks for the laugh.
