I was so excited about the opportunity to try a Premium Mattress Protector from Protect-A-Bed. Not only have I heard great things about them, but allergies are common in my family, not to mention here in Texas!
I requested a Twin-size to use on my daughter’s bed. Now I totally want one for my king, of course. But kids mattresses are probably more likely to need protection from spills and, ahem, urine.

They offer protection from allergens, dust mites and bed bugs (YUCK!). Anything I can do to keep those things away from me is a fabulous find!
I need one for our bed! Fact: mattress encasements are more than an allergy encasement; they are bed bug bite proof. I hate dust mites. If I fail to wash my sheets weekly, I cough at night…dust mites! GROSS!

Hi Alyssa! What really hit me on their site is where it says: “Effective in preventing bacteria and dust mites from breeding in your pillow and mattress (a major cause of asthma, eczema and rhinitis)” I have chronic Rhinitis. The ENT Doctor just told me this a few days ago. I also get Sinusitus often. Since reading about bacteria on their site, I NOW know I NEED a Mattress Protector such as Protect A Bed!! It may do wonders for my Rhinitis!!!

When we bought our new mattresses this summer, they talked us into investing in one of these. Most mattresses have a warranty, but it’s voided with any stains/spills/etc. and with kids that’s virtually impossible. I have been amazed by how well it works! I just wanted to say that it really does everything it says and we love it. I would love another one for my son when we move him to a “big boy bed” which is coming up very soon!
Only one fact? I’ve got at least 2 that I’m excited about! I think it’s very cool that they have a version for sensitive skin – the HealthSheet. My mom is very senstive and this might be something that would work for her. Also, I love the full mattress encasements that protect against bed bugs. Now, I don’t think I have bed bugs, but it’s good to know that these encasements protect so well.

Both my sons suffer from allergies, asthmas and eczema. This would be a great replacement for one that is on its last leg!

I like the fact that they obviously prolong the life of your mattress. I had bladder surgery 3 years ago, and mattresses ruin more easily than you’d think! I’d love to get one of these!
They are safe and free of harmful substances like cadmium. And flame resistant beyond what the law requires.
I think it is great they help prolong the life of your mattress. Since matresses are so expensive these days that would be a big reason to purchase this mattress pad.

My kids have horrible allergies. Especially my 5 year old who was recently diagnosed as mildly autistic. I would LOVE one of these to help protect his mattress and hopefully help with his allergies!!

Well, here is a gross fact from their website I found, “It is estimated that two million dust mites can thrive in an unprotected mattress.”
In any case, I was interested in the product because my son also has allergies and eczema so I’m always looking into anti-allergen bedding products.
I have been looking for mattress encasings and havent found any I like. My daughter has severe eczema and allergies this would help. They make it sound so great protects from bodily excretions !!! Yummy!
