On to this week’s giveaway!
I think Yoplait invented this product just for me. Okay, not really, but they did take 2 of my favorite things (yogurt & blueberries) and created a new flavor- Blueberry Acai by Yo-Plus.
Delicious! The best part is the special combination of probiotics and fiber in the yogurt, which help maintain digestive health. Being pregnant and all, let’s just say this is, ahem, a very good thing.
Actually available in 7 yummy flavors, I think the Blueberry is my new favorite. You will also find it in Strawberry, Cranberry Raspberry, Blackberry Pomegranate, Vanilla, Cherry and Peach.
There is a free $1.50 printable coupon to try a 4 pack of Yo-Plus here!
I have 3 Yo-Plus Gift Packs to send to 3 lucky readers. They include:
- A very roomy insulated bag like the one shown below. This is perfect for toting snacks to the pool or beach this summer!
- A BPA-Free 32 oz Water Bottle
- A small journal
- And of course, a coupon for a FREE 4-pack of Yo-Plus in the flavor of your choice

For a chance to win 1 of 3 Yo-Plus Gift Packs:
1. Leave a comment below with a frugal tip for maintaining a healthy lifestyle (initial entry).

Good luck, and thank you for entering!

Since I am comment # 1, I better make this good! LOL!
My frugal tip for maintaining a healthy lifestyle is to minimize your costs by: frequently drinking tap water as a beverage, and either growing them yourself or buying fresh fruits and vegetables at your local farmers’ market. They’re fresher that way and also cost much less than at the grocery store! Good health to you!

My frugal tip for a healthy lifestyle is to try and by low fat foods that are on sale and I have coupons for – easier said than done. But sometimes I get lucky. I also “exercise” by playing outside with my kids as much as possible.

My healthy frugal tip is to make your own granola! I actually just posted my recipe this week: http://runwatchplaywait.blogspot.com/2009/03/homemade-granola-im-lovin-it.html
It’s much cheaper than purchasing prepared granola, and you can add in whatever goodies you like.
I subscribe to your rss feed in google reader

We try to keep fresh veggies cut up and ready for snacking in our refridgerator. We also keep water cold in there so it is easy to grab.

My frugal tip: I buy vegies that are on “clearance” to get them off the shelves before they spoil…then I bring them home and wash them, cut them up, bag them in one meal portions and freeze them. A lot of the vegies I use on a regular basis can be frozen, especially onions and bell peppers and they are already cut up and ready to use! I love your blog…thanks for sharing all your great tips/deals with us!
My frugal tip: Walk for exercise. It’s cheaper than a gym membership. Thanks for the chance to win!
When we eat out, we always order water and rarely order dessert. It saves money and it better for the waistline!
I buy this yogurt for my hubby. I make my own yogurt in my crockpot, but it wigs him out a little! 🙂

Frugal tip for maintaining a healthy lifestyle: I use coupons to earn overage on items, and then I am able to use that overage toward purchasing more fruits and vegetables. The coupon overage I earn gives us more flexibility each week to buy healthy food.
You’re on my Frugal Rockstars blogroll.
My frugal tip is to buy fresh fruits and veggies in bulk when they are on sale, then chop them up and freeze them for later use. I love always having produce on hand for quick snacking and delicious, homemade cooking! Thanks for your blog, I love all your great tips!

Have a compost – make something useful for yourself out of kitchen scraps and save money on fertilizer.
I buy veggies and fruits from the “quick sale” rack in the produce section. As long as you use them immediately, they are fine and they are a great price.
I am also a subscriber! Thanks for the giveaway.
I always buy fresh fruit and veggies when they are in season – they are much cheaper and my girls eat it up!!!
I buy extra fruit and veggies when they’re in season and freeze some of it to use during the winter when things are more expensive.
We cook and eat at home rather than eating out. It’s healthier and is much less expensive.

I use a free website (www.caloriecount.about.com) to help me stay healthy. The site offers free calorie counter and food journals, free workout plans, recipes, and weight loss trackers! I’ve seen other sites that charge a TON for these same exact services!
My tip is to replace soda with water for the family. Even on sale, soda is spendy and un-healthy. Water with a little fresh lemon juice will save money and is better for you!

Here is my Frugal Tip…try to go for a walk at least 5 days a week….walking is free and can be fun if you find someone to walk with you.
My most frugal tip for living a healthy lifestyle is a no-brainer…but one I like still. Drink lots of water, and drink it from your tap. This saves tons of money and is much healthier than soda, tea, kool-aid and the like.
Thanks for the giveaway! 😛
And you’ve been on my blogroll for ages now! 😀

Frugal tip: After my FREE walk, I do “Training with Tammy” on Youtube! Try the 5 minute exercises to tone your arms!
My healthy tip is to walk every day. This has helped me a lot. I also switched from colas to water.

My healthy tip; I make my own microwave popcorn with brown paper lunch bags and buy a large bag of kernels. That way I control if I want salt or butter and how much. Not only healthier but a lot less expensive than buying boxed microwave popcorn.

My healthy tip. Work out at home. It doesn’t cost money to borrow different workout dvds from the library.
Love this yogurt!
Drink lots of water and get out and enjoy the wonders of God’s creation in the great outdoors as much as possible!

My frugal tip for a healthy living lifestyle is to drink more tap water. It cost much less than soft drinks and bottled water and is really important to have.

I really enjoy your blog and check it nearly everyday.
I’ve always been pretty frugal, but now that my husband’s been laid off since November, I’m frugal like never before. I make all of our bread, shop at Aldi’s (which I’d never heard of til I married my husband and moved to NC in 2007), eliminated eating out (which we only did on Sunday’s after church anyways), and regularly check several wonderful blogs like this one for ideas, coupons and tips on great deals and freebies.
Thanks,
Kimberly in NC

Another tip? Search garage sales via the internet for baby items. So much cheaper than retail! We recently bought a jogging stroller for $40. All it needed? Air in the tires!

I use coupons on items I buy anyway and buy in bulk when items are on sale. We have a freezer so I portion everything out as soon an I purchase it and freeze it. This saves money and time as I can just grab what I need for the day. If we do have leftovers, I portion those out into individual containers to take to work for my lunches.
I really try to keep healthly snacks at work. I also have crystal light packs to add to water instead of drinking pop.
This looks good. I have not tried the blueberry but I bet it is good. Thanks.

We drink water and always take a bottle while running around town. We bought each family member a Sigg-like aluminum bottle at Walmart for $5 each. The whole family has one for the price of one of the name brand bottles and we never buy plastic bottled water – pricey and bad for the environment.

I always use coupons, I hardly ever buy anything unless I have a coupon. We only eat out at places that I have coupons for. I buy fruits and vegs. when they are on sale and freeze the rest. I grown what vegs. i can and freeze them also. I buy my meat when it is on sale and cook it up and freeze it in portion sizes. It is especially easy with hamburger meat, you just take it out of the freezer and put in pot with a little bit of water to let it defrost and then use it for chili, soups, spagetti, tacos, etc. Keep up the good work, I really enjoy.
I am already a member and receive you emails and really enjoy them. thanks

Plan ahead! Planning your meals and organizing your resources can save TIME and money! Did I mention it can save TIME? 🙂 I’ve also shared my plans weekly with a neighbor – when we find a night that both our husbands will enjoy we choose to have a couples game night and share a meal together! It’s been really fun, and we’re looking to branch out with other neighbors on our street.

Buy a bag of apples.. cut them up.. put the slices either in large ziploc bags or containers with a sweeter juice than lemon juice *puckers*. Say.. pineapple juice. I buy cans of Tropical Fruit for my husbands lunch, and the juice left over, I add water and apple slices. They stay good for quite a while and taste very very tasty. 🙂
Wash and cut up all your fruit and veggies as soon as you get home from the store. In my household, they tend to get eaten more if you don’t need to clean them each time you want to eat them.
I have tried the Pomegranate YoPlus and am excited to try the Blueberry!
A frugal tip to stay healthy: I try to pack lunches for the kids before we go to the park in the mornings. If I don’t, I tend to stop for fast food on the way home.

I am a fairly new subsriber on my google reader.
My newest frugal healthy tip is to stop buying candy……….it seems so simple but is so hard especially when I have a coupon that would make it free….but if I buy it……..I eat it!
My healthy lifestyle tips are:
Get enough sleep.
Exercise.
Hug your toddler every day at least 25 times.
My healthy tip…don’t sweat the small stuff, not very original, but it really works.
My frugal health tip is always bring a healthy snack along for you and your kids. I always keep healthy snacks in the glove box! This stops us from fast food! mmbroderi@yahoo.com

Healthy Tip:
Drink water. Replace one soft drink a day with water will save you 50,000 calories a year, your teeth from decay from the acid, and so much more!!

My frugal tip… walk! Try to walk a little each day. Outside in the fresh air is great, the treadmill will work too. What a difference a free walk can make in your day!
I’d love some yogurt to snack on while I’m on my walk!
I have been trying to keep up with 20 mins on my gazelle at least three times a week and making better snack choices. My tip is: don’t expect it to all happen right away. I’ve tried to stick with a workout plan before and I attempt too many changes all at once. Start with one and build on it. Thanks for the giveaway!

Drink water. My husband vowed to do this and we don’t go through our sweet tea as fast as we used to. It’s healthy for the body and the wallet.
my family is just starting to maintain a healthier and more frugal lifestyle. we have started incorporating more fruits in veggies in our diets and drinking more water. i have also very recently started coupon shopping and have saved more money than i ever could have dreamed was possible.

I eat fruits and veggies that are in season and price match to get the best deals.
