Welcome, my fellow CVS fanatics and newbies! It’s Sunday, time for our weekly CVS $5 Challenge. The place to go for simple CVS scenarios with step-by-step instructions.

Last week was another awesome week! Thank you to all the participants, newbies and veterans. This week is looking better on the deals, so let’s see what y’all can come up with for under $5.00!

Don’t forget you can now grab a clickable CVS $5 Challenge Button for your post or blog.

If you are a first time visitor, here’s the lowdown:

Join me on Sundays as I host The $5.00 CVS Challenge!

Seasoned CVSers: share your best scenario(s) for the upcoming week at CVS.

Your budget: $5.00 out-of-pocket cash.

Your mission: to grow that $5.00 into even more ECBs to use in upcoming weeks.

Simply post your scenarios on your blog, then drop by Keeping the Kingdom First and add your permalink to the Mr. Linky box below.

Please link directly to your post, not your homepage. It would be lovely if you would also link back to The CVS $5 Challenge in your post.

If you have any questions about linking, please feel free to email me!

*RULES* Bloggers: Please make sure at least one scenario is $5 OOP or less

1. Come up with your best scenario/scenarios for the upcoming week at CVS using the current weekly ad, monthly deals, and coupons available. Your budget for Out of Pocket (OOP) expenses on the first transaction is only $5.00 (either cash OOP or ECBs on hand).

2. Using up to (3) scenarios (we don’t want to overwhelm the newbies with too many transactions), offer up your best scenarios to “grow” that $5.00 into more ECBs to use in following weeks.

3. If you want to divide your $5.00 allowance over the three scenarios to make them work, that’s fine!

4. Be sure to list coupons by inserts and/or with links to printables to make it easier for everyone to follow along.

Hey Alyssa, I have been following your blog for awhile now and I love it! I like your CVS $5 challenge but have not been able to see everyone’s links. I thought it was because I had an old version of IE but I have upgraded and still don’t see Mr. Linky, am I missing something?

Thanks so much for the kind award, Steph!

Amber, thank you for following my blog. I am a little baffled, you should be able to see Mr. Linky. Have you tried using a different browser? Most blogs are best viewed using Mozilla Firefox, which is a free download. Try that and let me know if it works! Sorry for the frustrations!

I am also unable to see the Mr. Linky stuff. I have tried IE7.x, Firefox and Google Chrome. My husband can see them at work, so he thinks it is a setting somewhere…he is working on it and we will share what he finds.

Quick question for a newbie – when you do three transactions, will they let you do that in one visit or do you have to go three different visits/days?

    thanks.

Thanks for your $5 Challenge, Alyssa! I LOVE to stretch my bucks as much as I can!!

@Anonymous: You can do all three transactions on the same visit, just ask the cashier. If there’s a long line, it’ll be better if you do one transaction and then get back in line.

If you are interested in the Glade deal, check your receipts from last week or do a different transaction first. They have been printing $1 Glade coupons which can be stacked with the manufact. coupon to make the sense and spray free. Or use the magic coupon machine to find one. Also, if you have already done the deal, and think you can’t do it again because it is limit 1, use that coupon to make another one $1. I love these things, probably my favorite from Glade, so I am getting a couple.
