Giveaway: Betty Crocker Gift Basket! (Now Closed)

(I have always wanted to take cooking classes. I have just never found the time to actually get out of the house to do it.

The new online cooking club from Betty Crocker, The Mixer, just may be my solution.

The Mixer is free to join, and features tips from the Betty Crocker Kitchens experts.

You can:

  • Take classes to learn the ins and outs of cooking and baking.
  • Interact with Betty Crocker Kitchens experts live during a class.
  • Find new recipes to try on family and friends.
  • Watch videos and learn kitchen tips and techniques.
  • Connect with an entire community of people just like you.

Classes are held 3 times a week, and are available on demand. Each week, The Mixer will feature a new class line up complete with recipe demos, tips and techniques, flavor secrets and more.

The classes are actually live webcasts, something that is right up my alley! I can watch at my own convenience, and get inspired in the kitchen. Here is a little preview of The Mixer:

To get you in the cooking spirit, I have a special Mixer Gift Basket like the one pictured above to give away to one lucky reader! The basket includes:

I added your link to my blogroll. For some reason I can’t seem to add some buttons to my sidebar, or I would have done that. I’ll have to ask my tech support guy about that.

  26. Meags says

I can’t live (or function) without my Keurig one-cup brewer. It was a splurge on myself with saved pennies, and I use it 2+ times a day. Also great for making on demand hot water for use in recipes!

  27. Misty says

I think the ones I love most are the coated whisk, so I can actually use it in my pans and my pasta picker upper, the kind with the fingers. I didn’t realize how handy that one would be for so many reasons and the one that I was last to realize is probably now my main reason. I don’t have to dump food into a collander so I still have my liquid left to use when making sauces. I don’t know how many times I drained my pasta and then thought hey I could have used some of that liquid.

Thanks! mnmzz at msn dot com

I love my Pampered Chef mini-serving spatulas! I use them all the time! There are several other “must-haves”, but actually they are wants, as I know I could do without them. But I was a consultant, so I earned them all before I was married, stocking my kitchen without the high cost! Since then I’ve had kitchen shows so I could earn new products without spending a fortune.

  32. Jennifer says

My favorite item was actually very cheap… I found a pizza cutter that is shaped like a pastry scraper, if you are familiar what that looks like (stainless steel shaped like a J, that is sharp on the tip) I cut my veggies with it and scoop everything up in it to transfer to a bowl, skillet or wherever it needs to go! Best thing ever!!
