*RULES* Bloggers: Please make sure at least one scenario is $5 OOP or less

1. Come up with your best scenario/scenarios for the upcoming week at CVS using the current weekly ad, monthly deals, and coupons available. Your budget for Out of Pocket (OOP) expenses on the first transaction is only $5.00 (either cash OOP or ECBs on hand).

2. Using up to (3) scenarios (we don’t want to overwhelm the newbies with too many transactions), offer up your best scenarios to “grow” that $5.00 into more ECBs to use in following weeks.

3. If you want to divide your $5.00 allowance over the three scenarios to make them work, that’s fine!

4. Be sure to list coupons by inserts and/or with links to printables to make it easier for everyone to follow along.

What if we don’t spend any money at CVS this week? Everything I have equals free when I’m done. And here in Jesup we get FREE Wisps no other purchase necessary with a limit of TWO! I will post my trip later though 🙂

I know it’s a $5 challenge, but after a month of doing that, I was trying to figure out how to make more than just a few ECB’s each week. I had received a $10 off $50, so I looked over the ad to see if I could actually spend that on items we would use or grocery items I might buy somewhere else. Of course, I got there. I purchased $51 of items on sale, had coupons for everything except the CVS water 24 pk. and a few Easter items on clearance 90% off. I paid $26.56 with tax after all the coupons and ECB’s I rolled from last week, and earned $13 in ECB’s for next week. Don’t know if this was the best thing to do but I’m going to check prices on some items at my grocery store tomorrow and see how I did. Anyway, had fun doing it!

Sudafed Sinus Headache pills ($10.99) – clearance $2.75
    Pedicure scissors ($7.49) – clearance $3.75
CVS brand medicine – $6.99 (saved a few $$ off the brand name item)

    Used:
3 Colgate coupons for $1.00 off each
    $19.99 in extra bucks.

    saved $56.33
paid .61 OOP — sixty one cents!

  4. Kelly D. says

    forgot to add one …
CVS brand Snore Stop spray (for my hubs. hope it works!) original price $10.99, clearance price $2.75. I’ve always wanted him to try it but it was so expensive.
