Earth Day Prize Pack Winner!

Thank you to all those who entered my Earth Day Prize Pack giveaway. I really enjoyed reading all those green ideas left in comments. It is refreshing to see!

I asked readers to tell me one way your family has committed to going green in your household.

I’ll share mine! In addition to recycling, using CFL lightbulbs and reusable shopping bags, we recently made the switch to rechargeable batteries.

I was given the opportunity to try the new Energizer Easy Charger in a sleek new design. With the plethora of baby gadgets and electronic toys in our home, we have been known to go through a LOT of batteries. Since throwing them in the regular trash is a no-no, rechargeables are a great alternative!

I particularly like the interchangeable faceplates- white, black, or silver. It fits right in with my stainless steel kitchen appliances. The best part? Only a 2 hour charge time, with auto shut-off! The batteries can be recharged 100’s of times, so even with a $24 price tag, this gadget will pay for itself many times over!
