Yes, you read that right. $9 fares! Sounds too good to be true, huh?
JetAmerica is a small new airline based in Clearwater, Florida. Their goal is to serve smaller and mid-sized U.S. cities that others carriers may have left behind.
I love their tag line: “Big Planes. Low Fares.”
The $9 fare is limited to just 9 seats on every flight (does not include the usual fees). However, their typical fares are much lower than major airlines. I also noticed a $39 fare, which is a total bargain!
The following cities will be served by JetAmerica, for now. This list will likely expand in the future:
New York City via Newark
Toledo/Detroit
Minneapolis/St. Paul
Lansing/Michigan
South Bend/Michiana
Orlando/Melbourne FL

Although this post may only benefit a handful of my readers, I felt it was worth sharing. Who knows, perhaps these ridiculously low fares will inspire their competitors to offer some major deals, too!
Now, if I could just convince JetAmerica to fly between DFW and Southern California, that sure would be nice for when my step-son comes to visit!
