Flip MinoHD Camcorder

Flip MinoHD Camcorder

Congrats to the lucky winner selected at random, Margie, commenter #224!

In honor of back-to-school, I am hosting a new giveaway every day this week! I love making a reader’s day with a fun prize.

Here is another one of my favorite gadgets: A Flip MinoHD Camcorder.

I use mine for all my vlogs, and also enjoy capturing those fun family moments on video with the simple press of a button. More about the Flip:

* Holds 60 minutes of HD-quality video (1280 x 720 resolution at 30 frames per second; 16:9 widescreen) on 4 GB of built-in memory
* Weighs only 3.3 ounces; Super-slim, super-sleek design, fits into your pocket or purse
* Features one-touch recording and digital zoom
* Flip-out USB arm plugs directly into your computer to launch built-in FlipShare software
* FlipShare software lets you save and organize your videos, edit individual clips, make custom movies, email your videos, and upload them

Priced at $187 on Amazon, it is actually a fairly frugal alternative to a traditional handheld camcorder.

One lucky Keeping the Kingdom First reader will win a shiny new Flip MinoHD of their very own!

For a chance to win:

1. Leave a comment below telling me what you would shoot with a Flip camera (initial entry). If you are reading via email or in a reader, please click through to the post to enter.

For Bonus Entries (leave a separate comment for each):

2. If you are a subscriber or follower (thank you!), leave a separate comment. You may subscribe for free updates via RSS or email and leave a comment telling me you have done so.

3. For a third entry, add Keeping the Kingdom First to your blogroll or add my badge to your sidebar. Leave a separate comment with a link to your site.

This contest will close on Wednesday, August 26, at 11pm CST. The winner will be selected by random.org and contacted via email. Contest open to US residents only.

Good luck, and thank you for entering!

My third daughter turns sweet 16. My baby graduates from 5th grade. (all done elementary after 17 years) Our 25th wedding anniversary and if that wasen’t enough for 2010, my oldest just got engaged and wants to throw a wedding in the middle of all our fun! Whew I’m tired just thinking about it.

  7. Sarah says

My husband and I just discussed buying one yesterday so he can record our 3 boys’ hunting and fishing adventures with their dad. He knows how heart broken I will be (to have the house all to myself, NOT) not being there to experience it all first hand.

I subscribe to your blog through RSS, and it is one of the key ones I enjoy. You are also on the short-list of Twitter tweeters I follow. I would love this camera. 19. Margaret B says

I would use it to capture special family events and everyday moments with my little girl.

  20. Nicole says

I’d love to win this to capture the memories of my upcoming second honeymoon with my husband. He got sick on the first and ended up in the hospital for three weeks after our wedding, due to a ruptured appendix and blod clots in his leg and lungs. He definitely put me to the test early on for that ‘in sickness and in health’ vow. Here’s hoping this re-do will be better than the first!

  21. Karen says

I would actually give it to my son. He is 12 and is on the TV crew at school. That means he makes documentaries and videos to be shown on their in school announcement system. He needs something like this. It is small enough for him to hold and use comfortably.

Hey there, I am a 20 yr old college student and my mother is the one teaching me about frugality. I absolutely love being frugal and I don’t ever want to pay full price for anything again! lol But currently I do not have the means to buy a camcorder on my own and I would love to have this one. I want to capture those special family moments that a still photograph cannot. My parents are beginning to reach their more ripe years and I want to be able to watch my memories of them over and over again and be able to share my memories of them with my kids (I plan to have in the near future). Especially since I grew up with no grandparents and no idea of who they were or where they came from, and for a long time I didn’t know who I was either and I would hate for my kids to grow up without out a clue of their grandparents or their background. Thank you.

    Alyssa,

The first thing I would document would be the students that I work with in Adult Education. The people I work with are AT THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL in their lives sometimes. Getting a GED is something they have put off or maybe even feel ashamed to do. The changes that come over a person when they really do work through it all and then walk the walk to recieve that diploma ar worth recording! I would (with their permission) post those pics for all the world (school) to see and thereby maybe motivating another person that is at the bottom!!!

I would use this to record my kids first day of school, it would be so handy and for all their school song fests, plays, concerts and so much easier than whipping out the camcorder.

  120. Monica Richardson says

The first thing I would shoot would be back to school pictures of my boys.
If it didn’t arrive until late September, I would wait and take pictures of my boys marching in our local parade the last week in September. (It’s a 3 block parade route.) 🙂

I would use it to record visits with my Mom. I want to record as much family history as I can, in her own words, while there is still time. I feel that will be priceless to us all in the future.

I would record all the silly little moments my kids have throughout the day. The crazy things my 5 yr old twin boys do, the beautiful 3 yr old dances my daughter does, the wild and hysterical stuff my 6 yr old boy does! Looks like the perfect size for keeping in a purse or close at hand at home.

This camera would be great to have since my phone doesn’t take very good video and my digital camera doesn’t have sound when it records video. I would shoot videos of my family with it.

  141. Dodge says

I would shoot video of my baby and my family! OK, mostly the baby because we’re still at the stage where everything she does is cute and we want to post all the videos on YouTube!

  142. melody says

First of all if you blessed me with the camera, I would do a happy dance, because I have not ever won anything. Second: Call my husband, Charlie, and tell him. Third: Get started! I would like to put together a video for moms- a documentary about moms here in new tampa, Florida. What we do is so difficult. It can be so lonely and isolating. I want moms to see that they are not crazy!!! We are all dealing with the same “stuff” just in different ways. I truly believe the truth will set you free. When we take the time to talk about what is really going on – support each other – love each other and encourage one another, we can work through the tough stuff and feel the joy! It would be a gift and tribute to moms everywhere- single, divorced, new… you name it!

I would be honored to have this opportunity to reach out to other moms. Blessings! melody of 2Godchicks.com
