October: Support Breast Cancer Awareness

This post may contain affiliate links. Read my disclosure policy here.

You are probably seeing a lot of pink this month. For a great reason- October is Breast Cancer awareness month. While thankfully no one in my family has been affected by breast cancer, I do have two friends, mothers of young children, who have fought that battle and won.  It is a cause near and dear to my heart.

If you are a blogger, here is an easy way to show your support for Breast Cancer Awareness:

breast cancer donation

By displaying the badge above, DietsInReview.com will make a donation of $5.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation for each Web site or blog that publishes the “My Blog Cares” badge between October 1, 2009 and October 31, 2009, up to $500.

Simply grab the code for the badge here and let them know you posted it so they can record the donation. What an easy way to give!

Also during the month of October, Snapfish by HP is offering a FREE Breast Cancer Awareness greeting card. You can send one to a friend by using the code sharetocare at checkout. There are 5 beautiful designs to choose from!

In addition, 30% of all proceeds from the sales of their “pink design” photo products will be donated to BreastCancer.org during the month of October.

Read more about the Share to Care program and get your free greeting card here.

Thanks for posting this……I lost my mom 3 years ago. With 2 grandmas having had it too, this is a personal cause for me (and my young daughter)

    Thanks! 🙂

I am showing my support by posting this on my blog as well. I had an Aunt die of breast cancer, and although I didn’t know her very well, she is still someone who was affected by this horrible disease.

Thanks for putting this on your site! The past year has been quite a battle for me. I hope a cure can be found and Chloe never has to experience anything like I have the past year.
