Giveaway: Wanchai Ferry Gift Pack (Now Closed)

I have a confession. A not-so-frugal confession. I enjoy eating out, probably more than I should!

While living in California, we often went to Pick Up Stix, one of my favorite Chinese take-out spots. I usually ordered the Orange Tofu. It’s good, I swear!

When we moved to Texas a little over three years ago, Pick Up Stix was no longer an option. I never found anything quite like it.

So I was very happy to discover new Wanchai Ferry frozen entrées- restaurant quality Chinese food without the hassle of take-out, or the extra cost.

Each frozen entrée has all the ingredients needed to prepare a great-tasting, complete Chinese meal for 2 in only 14 minutes!  They come in five delicious flavors including Orange Chicken, Shrimp Lo Mein, Spicy Garlic Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken and Sweet & Spicy Shrimp.  Additionally, all of the entrees have no added MSG!

The folks at My Blog Spark sent me a frozen sample of the Orange Chicken variety. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste and quality. The chicken was crispy and tender, with just enough orange.

Who needs Pick Up Stix? A frugal alternative, indeed. Especially when you combine a sale and a $1.50 off coupon found here.

Wanchai Ferry has provided a fun “stay at home” prize pack for one lucky Keeping the Kingdom First reader. It includes 2 coupons for the Wanchai Ferry meals of your choice, along with some great Asian inspired rice bowls, chopsticks and bamboo placemats.

Can’t decide between the frozen Orange Chicken or the Sweet and Sour Chicken! They both look delicious! Although, the dry dinner Cashew Chicken looks equally inviting.

Yum, orange tofu sounds delicious. I wish we had good Chinese “fast food” around here.

I would probably try the sweet and sour chicken. It’s one of my favorites when we order Chinese!

I’ve tried the boxed ones but haven’t the frozen ones yet, although I just bought 2 kinds. Gee, I wonder what I’ll be having for dinner tonight. 🙂

  14. Donna says

I would like to try the sweet and sour chicken, which I already know will be soooo good. We’ve enjoyed the Wanchai Ferry sweet and sour in the box (where you add chicken) for a couple of years now. I’m sure the frozen entree will even be tastier!

  15. Marla T says

My fiance and I just tried one of these last week. I think it was called something like Garlic Asian Shrimp Stirfry. It was so good. It’s just the 2 of us every other week when my daughter is with her dad, and these are perfect for the 2 of us. Would love to try the orange chicken. Thank you for the giveaway.
