I went to CVS today with a fist full of coupons and a plan. When I went to check out the cashier would not let me use the ECB’s I earned on this transaction to pay for my purchases. Is this right? I would have had a great deal! As it was, I walked out with $25 ECBs and a 30% discount off my purchase.

      Joanie-
No, this is not right. This cashier is not aware of the CVS corporate policy regarding ECBs. You did very well despite this hiccup!

You can use ECBs to pay for just about anything, excluding alcohol, cigarettes, and gift cards.

I got flustered in CVS trying to do multiple transactions this week. LOL

Corrin- I have so been there! My best advice is to focus on one at a time, pause and regroup before the next one. Sometimes I even walk out to my car and go back in. šŸ˜‰

My Plackers coupon was $1/3 as well šŸ™ I bought them anyway, with a Novamax glucose meter so now I have 9.99 + 2 ECBs after having spent only 4.05 (with taxes), I had other ECBs that were about to expire.

Oh bummer, sorry about that, Jenell! I did not realize the Plackers was a regional coupon. You still did pretty good!
