30-day giving challengeToday marks the end of the first week of The 30-Day Giving Challenge. What an amazing week it has been! The Facebook and Twitter reports have been so much fun to see.

In case you missed it, read 5 FREE Ways to Give for some ideas.

I have several more causes and charities I plan to highlight throughout the month. If there is one in particular you would like to suggest, please feel free to email me at 30daygivingchallenge (at) gmail (dot) com. I am also accepting donations of products or services for my local community. Your business will receive a mention on my blog during the month of November in appreciation of your support. It’s not too late to get involved!

I am continually amazed by the growing participation in the Challenge. We are currently at 581 participants on Facebook, and 70 bloggers. The interwebz are the perfect vehicle for spreading the movement of generosity.

Have you heard about Noah? A five year old boy in Michigan, Noah is currently battling cancer is not expected to live much longer. His family is celebrating Christmas this week at his request, and people from all over the world are mailing him Christmas cards and gifts. The power of social media played a huge roll in getting the word out about this precious little boy.

You can visit his Facebook page here, read Care Pages updates here, or a local news story here.

Sending Noah a card is a simple way to give, and it’s not too late to do so! Include $1.00 in the card and his family will donate it to University Of Michigan neuroblastoma research center and the Michigan Make A Wish Chapter.

Cards can be sent to:

Noah Biorkman
3480 Petoskey Way
Milford, MI 48380

I am looking forward to seeing what the rest of November has in store! Thank you for participating in this Challenge and for sharing this movement with others.

So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity, for GOD loves a cheerful giver. (2 Cor 9:7)

FYI: I have heard about Noah from several different places – the address you have is different than another email I received. Same last name, both in Michigan, different city and address. I wonder if there is a way to confirm the correct one. I’d hate to think of someone going through and sending it and it not reaching Noah or it goes to the wrong person.

Thanks for mentioning that, Angel. You are right, it is different than what many sites are reporting, but it you look at the Facebook page, they recently updated this address to take some strain off the first one. The mail will actually get to Noah at either address.

I just wanted to say thanks for the 5 ways to give and for what you are doing by spreading good cheer and God’s word. Thank you and have a blessed day and week.
