One of the biggest ways I have saved money on baby expenses is by breastfeeding. Colin (my third nurser) is now 9 months old, and we are still going strong. I am so thankful for this ability and the bond it allows.
But in all my years of nursing experience, I have yet to find the perfect nursing bra. And since my sizing needs *ahem* change as my little one grows, I typically need a new nursing bra every few months. Needless to say, this can get expensive. A comfortable, well-fitting nursing bra is crucial for long term breastfeeding success.
I have heard great things about Bravado nursing wear but have never actually tried it, since it is a little…um, pricey for this frugal gal. So I was pretty excited to learn that Bravado recently launched a new line of affordable nursing wear at Target, called Basics by Bravado. The collection includes a sleep bra, t-shirt bra and an inner wear camisole.
This new line is not yet in all Target stores, but if you happen to be near a store that carries the Basics by Bravado line, you can enter the Bravado “Spot a Mom” Sweepstakes for a chance to win $500 in new mom must-haves.
Here’s the scoop:
- Find the nearest Target store in your area offering Basics by Bravado nursing wear (a complete store listing can be found on the site).
- Visit the store and snap some pics of yourself finding the Basics by Bravado store display.
- Email your photo, along with your name and contact details to basics@bravadodesigns.com.

I too am so thankful that I have been able to nurse both of my children and know the value of a good nursing bra. I am currently using Bravado nursing bras and I *love* them. I went through so many inexpensive bras so quickly with our first child that when I had our second I bit the bullet and bought two from Bravado. They are the most comfortable and very durable. I am so excited to hear that they are going to make this line available at Target. Thanks for the tip.
None of the Target stores near me currently have these, but I’m hoping they start carrying them by June (when our new babay is due). It would be nice to have a realy good nursing bra this time around.
