Walgreen's $5 Challenge (1)

Welcome, my fellow Walgreens fans! It’s Sunday, time for our weekly Walgreens $5 Challenge.  The place to come for simple scenarios with step-by-step instructions.

This is not a terribly exciting week at Wags. It may be a bit more of a challenge to stay under $5.00! Grab your weekly Walgreens ad, a printer and some scissors to get started. Don’t forget to pick up your February Walgreens Coupon Book.

If you are new to shopping at Walgreens, and wanting to learn the basics, check out this post. New to couponing? Learn the lingo here.

If you are a first time visitor, here’s the lowdown:

I love that “close enough” is good enough!! 🙂

I’ve been noticing everyone just buying the razor (Venus & Gillette) and not the razor refills, and still getting the RR. You only have to buy the razor to get the RR? Because in the AD it says to buy the razor AND refills to get your RR. I’m confused and want to go and get the razor if I don’t have to buy the refills! LOL Thanks!

I love your scenarios and hope to link up this week!

Tiffany, I believe that is an additional $3 that you receive if you buy both. At the bottom it says Venus Embrace or Refills or Fusion.

I found out this weekend that my particular Walgreens only accepts one RR for payment at checkout, so I have to make sure I use my scenarios carefully! I’m going to challenge it, but not sure how long that will take.

Gosh, that stinks. Walgreens is notorious for having their own policies vary by store location. Technically, they should allow one coupon per item, with the RR counting as one coupon. Let me know how it works out!

Kami are you sure that you have the right number of products? If you were only buying one product and you had two register rewards then they would not let you use two but if you had two products (don’t have to be the same thing), then you could use them?
