And talking about back to school on the cheap, I thought I’d share this with my fellow moms. My 11 year old has been nagging me about a cell phone for a year now. I just got her a TracFone for $25 at Walmart (PINK Motorola C139) along with her school supplies and she is totally static!! I figured, if I must buy her a cell phone, it might as well teach herm something. Fellow moms, would you agree with this reasoning? If I get her a prepaid plan, such as TracFone which only costs $20 a month for 60 minutes and 90 days of service, she will have to learn how to budget her minutes so that the plan will last her all month. The phone came with double minutes, so she automatically has that bonus built in for the life of the phone. I think it’s a pretty sweet deal for me since I only pay $20 a month and my bonus is peace of mind… now I can call her and find out what she’s up to. She’s happy with her brand new pink phone. Her dad’s happy cause it’s not expensive at all and now she will stop nagging him about the cell. All’s well that ends well… right moms??
my 14 yr old has virgin mobile and for $25 a month she has unlimited txt & data and 500 minutes a month AND virgin mobils has rollover minutes. Just FYI
I know that not for everyone BUT I trust my daughter and she is very open with what she does and I have full access to her phone and everything she does on the net and I randomly check on her and whenever I have I have never found anything to be worried for.
