Using Time Effectively in the Shower {Seriously}

Before you spit your afternoon cup o’ joe all over your computer screen, I’m not talking about scrubbing body parts in this post. I promise, it is safe to read 😀

I know many of you moms out there have mastered the art of a five-minute-or-less shower.

I certainly have, and I am blessed that 90% 80% 75% of the time, my children are not on the other side of the shower door screaming.

5 minute shower = 5 minutes of peaceful thinking time for Mommy.

I get so many grand ideas in the shower… come up with new recipes, blog posts, craft (snort) projects, organizing solutions, etc. Unfortunately, but the time I get out of the shower and get dressed, I’ve forgotten exactly what my new scheme entailed.

Sigh.

My solution? Bathtub crayons.

I keep a bathtub crayon on the shower rack, and when I think of something, I write it on the shower wall. Whether it be something that needs to go on my to-do list, or the grocery list, I have a written record of it.

I have been doing this for several years now (and driving my husband crazy all the while… he wonders if the notes are for HIM!), ever since the girls received some of these crayons as a gift.

Genius? Well, maybe…

Original? Probably not.

Effective. Yup!

Do you have a crazy system to remember things?

    What a great idea! My 20 year old daughter bought bath crayons just for the fun of it, and we were writing notes to each other, but NOW there is a better use!
    One less place to have to lose a thought because of no pen and paper, or no ambition or time to go fetch on so I can write it down!
    Thanks!
