Sleep Soundly with Halo Sleep Sack (A Giveaway!)

This month, I am sharing giving ideas and special giveaways as part of The 30-Day Giving Challenge.

If you’ve had a baby in the last few years, chances are you’re familiar with HALO products. HALO has worked to develop products that encourage healthier and safer sleeping as well as bring peace of mind to your home, and a percentage of their profits are donated to charities that help in the fight against SIDS.

The HALO SleepSack replaces loose blankets in the crib that can cover your baby’s face and interfere with breathing. It’s a warm, cuddly blanket they can’t kick off, ensuring baby sleeps soundly throughout the night. Practical and completely adorable all wrapped in one!

For newborns, HALO now has a SleepSack Swaddle blanket that ensures your baby still gets the benefits of being swaddled without the risks of blankets that could come lose and pose a suffocation risk. This is fabulous for parents like me who just never quite got the hang of swaddling!

The SleepSack Swaddle blanket is available in Target stores for $19.99, and would make a great baby shower gift or donation to a pregnancy crisis center.

A few Safe Sleep Practices Suggested by HALO® SleepSack®:

  • Place baby to sleep on his or her back at naptime and at night time.
  • Use a crib that meets current safety standards with a firm mattress that fits snuggly and is covered with only a tight-fitting crib sheet.
  • Remove all soft bedding and toys from your baby’s sleep area (this includes loose blankets, bumpers and positioners).
  • Offer a pacifier when putting baby to sleep. If breastfeeding, introduce pacifier after one month or after breastfeeding has been established.
  • Never dress your baby too warmly for sleep; keep room temperature 68-72 degrees Fahrenheit.

My son and I both have work with Dog Rescues for a number of years now. I also make money contributions to a heart association and a suicide association.

I’ve got a 3 month old girl. This is a perfect reminder for moms and baby safety. I sadly had a friends baby die of SIDS so I’m extra cautious.

Some moms just don’t know to put babies on their backs and not use extra blankets. Great post and giveaway!

  3. Ellen says

I used similar items when my children were born 30 some years ago. My niece is expecting her first baby in April and I would love to give this to her! They are wonderful to keep your little angel warm.

  4. Kim W. says

Love this product. I support the Lee Ann Britain Infant Development Center in Kansas City. It’s where my son receives physical therapy. They have a foundation that helps subsidize kids that need therapy.

We support many but the one dearest to my heart is HHT International. My grandfather, father, uncle and myself all have HHT and have dealt with it our whole life. But I also passed it onto my son, Sam, who died at birth due to complications from HHT. We give in honor of our son annually. HHT is not well known and they need all the funding they can get.

this is a great idea… our house gets cold overnight in the wonter, so I struggle with keeping the baby warm enough, while not using extra blankets!

  11. Rebecca says

I support a local pregnancy crisis center (faith based and an abortion alternative) and I recently did a Susan G. Komen walk for the cure. Thanks for the giveaway.

Love this….we have a little baby living at our house and my oldest daughter is also excpecting… this would be a lovely gift for either…. so cute…. I’m in charge of a bound4life group which fights for the right to live.

  13. Angie says

I love being active duty military because I get to support so many organizations every year through our combined federal campagine. This year I choose to suppose groups that help my kiddos or kids that are sick. I chose to support a children’s hospital, the 4-H club (my daughter loves this club), the La Leche League (because I have a 2 mth old and all my other babies were breastfed), and the Missoula Theater Company (a traveling theater company for kids). I also give to missions through church, and sing in the choir. Every year I help set up a team for the Susan Koman Race for the cure…I try to emphasize to my kids (7, 4, and 2 mths) that there are some people out there who don’t have anything so give a little of yourself to help them out.

I work for a non-profit puppet theatre based in the “wrong” part of town. We do a lot of work for kids, and the theatre gets a whole bunch of my time “off the clock.”

Financially, I offer donations to the local food bank and LOVE making donations to punjammies!

I’m sorry I don’t support any one cause-but I do give when asked whether it be food, money or whathave you.
