This month, I am sharing giving ideas and special giveaways as part of The 30-Day Giving Challenge.

We are in the final stretch of the challenge, with a few more fun giveaways to keep you motivated! I am so grateful to all of our generous sponsors. Each one sees the importance of giving to others, especially during this busy holiday shopping season.

Today’s sponsor is New Leaf Publishing who has fulled the mission of glorifying God through the power of the printed word for over thirty-five years.  New Leaf Publishing is over Master Books (apologetics, creation science), New Leaf Press (Christian living, inspiration) and Attic Books (Christian reference books from the 18th century). Their products are fabulous for homeschoolers!

I come from a family of book lovers. My children enjoy a small library thanks to generous grandparents. I especially enjoy adding books to their collection which instill Biblical values and truth.

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

New Leaf Publishing sent me a fabulous Children’s Book Gift Set that includes:

I think my favorite is either Pilgrim’s Progress or The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe from the Chronicles of Narnia series. These books look great. Would be a wonderful Christmas gift for my daughter.

I want to enter this contest but I have to name one favorite book? Not sure I can narrow it down. I’ll say for now that the Frog & Toad books are fun to read. Thanks for the great giveaway!

And, I saw that someone else said Frog & Toad – I forgot about those! I’ve collected a copy for each of my kids to have for their children!

I’m going to post this again, because it didn’t show up the first time.

My favorites would be the Little House series or Heidi, with the original Nancy Drew series close behind.

My son and I just finished listening to Anne of Green Gables (he’s too young to know it’s a girl’s book – sh, don’t tell him!) and now he’s reading through the rest of the series. My list of favorites is just too long to choose one.

  6. Rachel H. says

I couldn’t narrow down my favorite to just one book. We have so many and our tastes change like the wind. Richard Scarry, Doreen Cronin, American Girl, and Kate DiCamillo are all part of our library.

  7. marina says

Dottie has several favorites but presently is onto Berenstain Bears in a big way and her My First Christmas Bible

  8. Antoinette says

our 20 month old LOVES LOVES LOVES “Stand Tall Molly Lou Melon” (about being yourself no matter what) and “Mr. Hacker” (about a lonely old man who finds companionship when he takes care of a cat and dog). We read them over and over and over and over and over….

  9. Tammy Lacer says

I think my favorite is The Kissing Hand. This book was given to my daughter on her first day of preschool and she is now 8 and we still read it!!

  10. Priscilla says

Our favorite children’s book right now is The Grinch. My favorite is the old Winnie the Pooh book.

  11. Crystal says

My favorite book… It’s a gossip between The Poky Little Puppy or Where The Sidewalk Ends. Now, I love reading them to my little ones!

  12. Jen S says

My favorite book to read and to give is one that was my favorite when I was little, and recently re-published: “My Little Golden Book about God”. So sweet!

  13. Jackie says

My favorite little children’s book is Big Red Barn. For older children, I like the Lord of the Rings series.

  14. Rachel says

Any favorite kids book can quickly become dreaded after the 180th request to read it. One that has lasted for me is The Rhyme Bible Storybook. It has great pictures, a variety of stories you don’t always see in kid’s bibles, and it is well written. They seem to capture the heart of the stories with just a few rhyming lines. And it is big enough that we just read a few different stories each time, so I don’t get sick of it.

  15. Christen says

For little kids, I love the board book, Good Night Gorilla. Right now I am reading Ginger Pye with my kids and loving it!

  16. Elizabeth says

Right now we’re enjoying Pilgrim’s Progress retold for early childhood. Would love to add to our library!

  17. Megan says

Our favorite children’s book is Gossie by Oliver Dunrae…all of the books in that series are a huge hit here!

  18. Rebecca says

My 3 year old loves the Llama Llama books, my older girls like the Little House books, the Narnia books, the Anne of Green Gables books and Little Women. We have a lot of favorites.

  19. Denise Wilson says

Right now, our favorites are “Green Eggs and Ham”, “Goodnight Moon”, and “Guess How Much I Love You”.

    Love books!

  20. Heather says

My very favorite children’s book is any of the Laura Ingalls Wilder series. My daughter has devoured them just as I did at her age–numerous times by now! We are homeschoolers and I am so thankful my child loves to read! 🙂
