I have been a member of NCP for almost two years. It’s a lot of work and it can take years to save up your points to get any decent prizes. In the two years I have not won a sweepstakes and few people do. I wish I had been better informed about what NCP requires of you and just how much work it can be and how much time it can take up especially if you coupon. Please inform your readers more about what NCP is, what’s required of you once you join, give them a realistic picture of it. Please be more responsible when you post about them. It’s not easy peasy and I wish more bloggers would take it serious when they post about it. Please do your research on it before blogging about it. Thanks. Knowing what I know now I don’t think I would have signed up for NCP.

      Hi Sunny,

I’m sorry you feel that way. I was a member of Neilsen for a few years (a few years ago) and actually enjoyed being a member. I didn’t win a sweepstakes either, but that’s not why I joined. No one has to remain a member of any panel if they don’t want to. While the information I put in the post was straight from their website, I actually did do my research… I was a member and when I got to where I didn’t want to do it anymore, I stopped. It may be time-consuming for some, but the sign up (which I referred to as “easy-peasy”) really is simple.

      Thank you for your input,
      – Amy

I agree with Sunny, you paint a very “glossy” picture, and it is a very time consuming process. If anyone is interested in join NCP, make sure to consider carefully and remember that you are not getting anything for “free”, you are giving them data that they can sell.
If you are not paying for a product or service, you are not the customer, you are the product. Just be aware…

      Hi Gina,

I was a member of Neilsen for two years and I actually did enjoy it. I realize that not everyone does, and while you may view what I wrote as “glossy,” the information is straight from their website, and I put that on there simply for information purposes. I agree that it is time-consuming, and when it wasn’t fun for me anymore, I cancelled my membership. I didn’t mind giving them data; for those who do mind, you are right: they should read all of the terms and conditions carefully, as they should with ANYTHING they sign up for.

      Thank you for your input,
      – Amy
