There is one thing in this world I would not trade for, and that is good friends.  I recently met Alyssa for the first time when we went to the Dave Ramsey seminar.  Then we had fun in Barnes and Noble with Steph and Rachel.  A few months later, I was swept into the wonderful whirlwind that is now the DFWCHIX, and was able to meet up again with my new friend (and many others!).  And, a few weeks ago, we went shopping and had free mochas!

I have to say, you cannot find a better friend than Alyssa.  She and I skype and text and hang out on Twitter.  Alyssa is kind, generous, and completely adorable.  She is exactly what you would expect (except she is taller than I thought she would be {giggle}).

I am blessed to have Alyssa as one of my good friends. She is supportive, fun, and a very Godly woman.  I love her family, too.  Our girls have so much fun playing together.

Before Alyssa left for BlogHer, she asked me to do a guest post on her site.

Um, yeah.  I was really hesitant at first, because I had NO CLUE what to write about.  Alyssa was completely encouraging (and persistent!), and so came this post.  I hope you enjoy it, and if you don’t already read Kingdom First Mom, you need to start!

So, Alyssa, thank you for allowing me to guest post on your site.  It is a priviledge and an honor.  But more than anything, thank you for being such a good friend.  Thank you for helping me with all of this blogging stuff, as I am still a noob on all of it.
